Staff very helpful during our stay when the Liberia Airport was closed

I liked that the hotel was away from the busy town and had a cute cafe. I used to stop by for my favourite ice coffee but they didn't have the ice coconut coffee anymore and the furniture and decor has been less appealing. The three flights of stairs was kind of a bother, especially if you have a few heavy luggage and you have to make a few trips. I had a hard time getting out of my room because the door knob came off, minor fix but for someone else it might be a big problem for their security. Breakfast was included but was mediocre. Taxi was over 12000 colones, 24 USD for a five minute ride. Nice driver but too expensive.

At first I thought the bed was broken, but no, it was just missing an entire wood slat, what is frankly ridiculous considering how easily this can be replaced the same day from a nearby hardware store. The interior bedrooom door handle popped off with the door closed, thankfully I was able to get it back on and open the door, what can also be replaced easily and cheaply. The bathroom sink has a fairly bad leak, but the solution was to put a to-go container under it rather than to fix it. Likewise the shower handle had a massive leak so pressure is directed away from the shower head. Then, I chose this hotel in part because they have a coffee shop downstairs that was supposed to open at 7am and have breakfast, but no, I was told they would show up at 8am despite the sign saying 7am, so I left hungry.

My stay was wonderful, such a warm welcome from the hostess Karina who with her kindness made it feel like home, she went above and beyond to accomodate. Having the cafe right there at the hotel was such a treat, so much love was put into the food, I had the most delicious chicken sandwich, it was so good I had to get a second one to go on my way to the airport which was close and easeful to get a taxi to. The room was simple, clean, spacious and modern, very comfortable. Muchas gracias

Hotel is conveniently located on a main access road with nearby restaurants and beaches. Hotel room was spacious and comfortable which included cold AC.

Stay was good, but we booked a room for 2 people, when it says breakfast included it only includes a breakfast for 1 person. That’s what we think they can improve. It is confused

I'll avoid this place in the future. I made a reservation on Saturday mid-day for a same night stay. I called the number that I found on-line before I drove to the hotel and it went straight to voicemail so I left a message. I drove there, arriving around 6:30, and the building was completely locked up. There is no signage with guest information nor a phone number. The glass doors were locked and gated from within. Nothing about the place looked like it was open for business. I thought they went out of business and I'd been scammed. I ended up leaving to find a place to stay for the night. Turns out they do have some kind of 'after hours' check-in process though I got that information when it was too late. How hard is it to tape a piece of paper with a phone number to a glass window for arriving guests? It was disappointing. They won't respond to my message. I live in Costa Rica and I prefer to support local businesses but perhaps not this one. The lack of information for arriving guests seems 'conveniently' misleading.

Basic room, this is not our first stay here. The price is right for an overnight stay and only 7 min. drive to LIR. The shower plumbing issue is always an issue and the pillows need to be updated. The AC unit takes forever to cool the room. Thankfully, the barking dogs next door get locked up at sunset.
