Lovely apartment beneath Edinburgh Castle

Heating did not work on coldest night of the year. No hot water either. Absolutely horrendous night. Called and left a massage and emailed. No response . Picked up phone after another 2 attempts. Had got the message but hadn't bothered to phone back. Transpires the cleaner had forgotten to top up the meter. Husband got the stepladder out and reset the meter to emergency. Cleaner called in an hour later and took both gas and electric to top up. Profusely apologetic on the phone. Offering refund. I emailed when we got back and again offered refund and a 2 for 1 night at any of their apartments. No refund given and ignored emails since.. Cost £750 for 2 night stay. Disgusting treatment .

Comfortable accommodation in an excellent location looking on to back of the castle - small issue with heating on one of coldest days of the year which was resolved quickly while we were out at theatre.

location was fantastic, it was well put together and the finishings were gorgeous

the locks in the doors proved difficult to use at times

I didn’t receive a code to gain entry and had to chase up the owners before we could get in. However they were very good and fixed the problem straight away!

it was very central. spotlessly clean. open communication with the owners. anything we needed no problem. would highly recommend this beautiful apartment

entrance could be a bit off putting, does not reflect the beautiful property inside clean and comfortable beds. plenty of facilities.
