Lovely apartment beneath Edinburgh Castle

Location

Had no heating and no hot water on first night, Had to struggle for 2 hours trying to load the meter with a prepaid card, not easy with a small ladder, as was unable to see display monitor. I really think having hot water and heating is a basic need especially in the winter☹️

The location is excellent - exactly where you need to be in the centre of Edinburgh, everything is a short walk away. Pleased that it was only one flight of stairs up. Flat was well decorated and clean, and very warm which was useful over the Christmas period. 5 of us were very comfortable in the flat.

The hob didn’t work throughout our entire stay because the fuse was blown. The toilet in the main bathroom is wobbly as heck, it needs fixing and it desperately needs a new toilet seat as it’s hanging off. And you really, really need a new front door lock - it took us about ten minutes every time we tried to enter to get the key to work, which was very frustrating.

Location. Furnishing were great and apartment was very warm and cosy.

No wine/champagne and treats on arrival despite being implied in advert. Lock on the door was very difficult to open. Kitchen needed a deep clean and the food stuffs left in the cupboards were open and looked to have been there sometime so didn't use.

Beautiful interior, comfortable beds, good pressure in the showers. Good location.

Entrance hall is a bit off putting and could be made better with a coat of paint . Toilet in main bathroom very unstable.

Location was great lots of eating places close by as well as bars .Not too far to walk into centre of town .

The mattress protector our bed had stains on ,should be changed every time the bedding is changed .

The apartment itself was absolutely lovely and very clean. Perfect for what we needed. It was cosy and warm and I slept so well - absolutely brilliant. The fact that there was a starbucks literally downstairs was AMAMZING !

The entrance hall didn't do the apartment justice. Huge relief when we opened the door. We did struggle to open the door with the key, which was shown in the video when demonstrating access. We also struggled to lock it from the inside so ended up having to use the chain. I really do think that is something that doers need fixing to make getting into the apartment itself easier.

Very lovely place. Two bathrooms was great! Only thing was the noise on the street later at night but thankfully it wasn’t constant.
