Sangregado Lodge

Lodge is located in nature and is so peaceful. Beautiful lodge and way from hustle. Very tranquil and we loved our stay.

You need to carry snacks and fruits and other food items as the lodge is way from downtown and in case of emergency there is nothing to shop around.

Absolutely amazing service, special thanks to Larry and Fernando for their help with everything, including planning my activities and sightseeing. Very friendly and joyful vibe at the property.

We loved how secluded the room was. It felt like you were sleeping and showering in the jungle itself. While it was hot and humid at times, the AC in the room kept it comfortable the whole time. We also loved the location. The Mistico park is in the same area and were we able to walk to the hanging bridges tour we planned. The breakfast at the Blue Hibiscus Restaurant was absolutely delicious as well. The staff was delightful and so helpful. My husband loves to take pictures and one of the staff saw him taking pictures and showed him to an awesome snake (not poisonous) he had found so my husband could get some good shots of it.

Ufff, hermoso hotel con vista al volcán. Las villas son hermosas y amplias, una excelente opción de hospedaje de lujo en Costa Rica. Ideal para relajarse un fin de semana y descansar, además de conocer las maravillas naturales del país.

Es difícil llegar hasta allá, sólo con transporte privado y el desayuno es en otro sitio, pero en general es un gran hospedaje. Me encantaron cada un de los detalles y la atención en sin igual.

These are beautiful lodges with canopy views and very peaceful. We enjoyed looking out to the volcano and sitting on the balcony. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. It’s right across the road from Mistico Hanging Bridges and you basically have to enter the park gates (security guard) to enter so we felt very secure.

We think it would be best to have breakfast onsite or alternatively small kitchenettes. The lost iguana where you go for breakfast (2 min drive) was nice and the staff pleasant but it is very Americanised. Also good to know you are quite remote here so the drive back to La Fortuna is around 30 mins with only the same Lost Iguana as a meal option if you don’t want to drive in the dark. You feel as if the road is really remote driving in, as if you are going to the wrong place! We also didn’t see any wildlife at the accommodation itself nor a full view of the volcano, but we would still recommend to stay here for the tranquility and luxury

The lodge we stayed in was beautiful. The two bedrooms were spacious and clean. There were 2 nice bathrooms and a lovely veranda to sit on and take in the sounds of the jungle. Breakfast was just down the hill at the sister resort. It was a good breakfast with decent options. Parking was easy, check-in was quick and easy and the staff were good. It was well located to get into La Fortuna and the many nearby attractions. Falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle was the best part.

There were a few "annoyances" with our stay. Having been on the road for a while, I specifically selected a place with a washer and dryer. They were however broken and we could not use them to clean or to dry things as we wanted (it is a very humid country!). The staff did their best and did a load of washing for us but it was not our expectation given our plans. The safe was also broken and there were limited amenities in the kitchen. Most notably, the lodge we stayed in was right on the edge of a work compound where trucks roll in and out early and late. It was noisy and did not contribute to the sense of being on the "edge" of the jungle. Would we stay again? Maybe in a different lodge further away from the work and parking area.

La vue, le personnel, la chambre

The breakfast was great and easy to access by car each morning. We were very pleased to be staying so close to the Mistico Hanging Bridges-we were able to get into the park before the crowds started! The staff Larry, Francisco, and Luis) was exceptional-incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their English was impressive so communication was very easy. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a tranquil experience in the rainforest. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!

The noise from the rainforest animals was lovely but also made it difficult to sleep at times. 😉

Zimmer mit großen Fensterfronten und Blick auf den Regenwald.

Keinerlei Garderobenhaken oder Regale. Kleidung, vor allem wenn sie nass ist, kann nicht aufgegangen werden. Frühstück im Nachbarhotel, nur mit Auto zu erreichen. Hotel besteht aus kleiner Rezeption und einigen Bungalows. Keine Lobby.
