Wonderful room in an amazing place

La ubicación es inmejorable, los jardines están muy cuidados, es una casa preciosa colonial muy cuidada. Anthony fue muy atento, y amable. Lo único que algún ruido del perro del vecino había por la noche, pero por lo demás fue una estancia buena, repetiríamos.

Se podría mejorar la limpieza a nivel de sábanas y el sofá de la habitación que hay alguna mancha, además el mando del aire acondicionado no funcionaba muy bien y pasamos mucho frío por la noche, mi pareja se puso enferma.

Lovely architecture. Despite being in a busy area was very peaceful and private Walking distance to the Park and the Cultural Museum. Anthony and the other staff member, apologies for not knowing his name, were very helpful, the breakfast was delicious and thanks for organising a good tuk tuk tour guide.

Beautiful home and lovely staff

Our room was small and basic compared with those in the main house.

I was there for G Bawa's architecture and style. The photos show how gorgeous it is. Staff were very helpfull and well-informed. It is set back from the road so is very quiet. The staff were always around to let you in or to answer questions and generally talk about Colombo and other properties Bawa designed.

The breakfast was European rather than Sri Lankan, but for me this was a minor detail.

This has the atmosphere of a quiet small English town boarding house - in all the best possible ways: quiet, clean, friendly polite staff. It’s worn around the edges, comfortably so. I know nothing of architecture so can not critique the design of the building but it’s very pleasant to stay in.

A pity the WiFi is so slow upstairs. Would have preferred to have the freedom to come and go without disturbing the staff, but then the security might be compromised.

Fans of Geoffrey Bawa will love staying here, a 60s house tucked away from the street, with lovely courtyards. It isn't a hotel, obviously, and so the facilities are limited, but my double height room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was exceptional for being part outdoors. Breakfast wasn't lavish but it was very tasty.

Just a note to say there's a school next door that caused some disturbance.

Posto veramente stupendo curato in ogni dettaglio. Stanza pulita e spaziosa e spazi comuni molto belli.
