HOTEL ASRANI INTERNATIONAL

It's well located, close to everything one might need. It's on the main road, but surprisingly not noisy even in a road-facing room. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is quite nice too, though the breakfast buffet could be a bit nicer.

We had a broken handspray in the toilet that was replaced as soon as we pointed it out. But we shouldn't have been offered a room with something broken, in the first place. While checking in, I was initially told that my request for an early check in was not listed with them, despite my having received an email confirmation from the hotel already. This caused a moment of unnecessary stress, given I was traveling with a senior citizen who needed to rest.

Nothing to like

Unhygienic and bad location. Staff are very unhelpful and rude. Lacked basic local knowledge such as local money exchanges and refused to help with sim card. Poor “buffet” food selection.

I enjoyed the breakfast, but foreigners should know it is 90% a local breakfast. The room was large and well equipped though I could not get the room safe to work. Bed was not bad.

My room faced a very loud street. The windows are cheap and provide no sound barrier. Luckily I brought ear plugs otherwise I would not have been able to get a full night's rest.
