Kastren Rooms

The property was right in the heart of the old town of chania, perfect location with perfect views. The property was spotlessly clean and very well maintained… Everything you need was supplied and the room was just as the picture show…!! Communication between the Owner/Staff /was exceptional. I would highly recommended Kastren Rooms and I will definitely be going back sometime soon

I had a very big heavy suitcase and the stairs are quite steep.. but I carried my bag up slowly and carefully so as not to topple over.. but got there in the end . …so not great if you have mobility issues. What I would recommend is that a second handrail (banister) be fitted on the second floor as well , as there wasn’t one. That would make staying at this apartment perfect and I’d definitely return and stay again.

Perfect spot for exploring Chania, very close to harbour and restaurants, also we walked to a sandy beach nea Chora. If you dont know the area I recommend you book a taxi from the owner Manolis, he was excellent and dropped us a few metres from the door and was very helpful.

A blind missing on the windows, made it very light in the morning.

The property was really nice, situated on a street near the Port. It was noisy due to that, but for us was not a problem. Has e nice large bed. A good washing machine which was really helpful because we were traveling light. Has a small kitchen, but it was enough for us to cook some mediteranean dishes, and eat them on the balcony of the apartment, where you can feel the vibe of the town. And last but not least the host was nice and receptive, the communication went very smooth. Overall I recommend this place!

The water heating system which probably depends on the weather, and in the morning having no sun, the water was cold. But even this was not a big problem, we got used with it.

The remote of the tv did not work

Location was fantastic, if not perfect. Communication was good in build up to check in, helpful with putting in touch with transfer service from airport. Would recommend using transfer service. The apartment itself is a nice place & suitable for a stay in Chania.

Prior to check in, dialogue with the company said that the apartment would be on the first floor & we agreed that this would be ok, as the booking was for my grandparents, not for me. I have screenshots of the conversation confirming that it would be a first floor booking. Upon check in, it was to my surprise that my grandparents would be staying on the second floor & with no elevator access, it was very difficult for them to get up & down stairs. They needed assistance every time & my grandfather was tired, this was upsetting. When discussed with the host, they said they could not assist as the other apartment was already occupied. The inconsistent dialogue was the only unfortunate circumstance with this experience.

This room was the perfect size, big bed, a TV and it’s very close to the town centre and the port. The staff weren’t there to greet us however they were always there to answer any questions over message.
