"Relaxing, welcoming and a place to return."

A wonderful place to stay. Our room was spotless and well laid out, with everything you need for a stay away from home. Located in a rural area with fab local walks and the chance to see deer and badgers but near enough to great foody pubs and local attractions. Breakfast in your room is a real treat as is being greeted by the owner’s beagles Dottie and Cookie.

Nothing everything was great.

Wonderful room with USB outlets. Delicious breakfast served in our room. Friendly and lovely hostess. This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in and we have been traveling for over 30 years.

Lancasters Cottage is like a home away from home. Beautiful location in the countryside, but close to lots of pubs and tourist attractions. The Fern room is beautifully furnished with an ensuite. Sarah was a lovely host, friendly, efficient and breakfast was always on time. I would love to stay here again. Definitely recommend this property.

"Birthday booking"

Not so good. Clean and tidy if rather expensive B&B. Surprisingly noisy at night, with bathroom and plumbing sounds from other rooms. Unfortunately would not recommend for guests travelling on foot, cycling or by public transport. Taxis required to Horsham for dinner, £20 each way and roads unsafe for walking, as heavy traffic and no footpaths.

"Beautiful home away from home in the countryside"

Beautiful home away from home set in the countryside with wonderful views. Sarah was a fantastic host and the room was fresh, comfortable and impeccably clean.

We wish we’d brought the car! There’s a pub a short stroll away but we had stayed to attend a wedding and taxis were very expensive. (not a bad point about the property AT all!)
