La Maison Pondichéry

The location was perfect, just in the middle of the market and near to all the major attractions. The property is a heritage building with quite a few rooms. As its just next to the main street, there will be a lot of outside noise continuously. It's a safe surrounding for solo travelers as well.

As it's a heritage house, there will be a constant some kind of smell. Though the rooms and toilets are clean but that continuous smell of I am not sure what just doesn't go.

Old ineffective AC. Stupid restrictions like No Alcohol in the room. Gate closing time 11 PM. Feels more like a jail than a guest house

Fascinating building excellent location a short walk from the promenade and with a plethora of restaurants within walking distance.

Parking is an issue

Loved the location in the center of the French White town and easy accessibility to all the prime spots and restaurants in the area (almost walking distance). The rooms very tidy and the staff was very cordial and helpful.

We weren't aware that this is a no smoking/alcohol property so that was a little disappointing. Also there is a cut-off as the main door to the villa closes at 11pm. However, the staff was kind enough to open for us a few minutes late. Also the place requires full payment in advance.
