Great Gatsby Motel Inn

Card reading system was not working did not plan on that and had to through venmo or cash. Was an inconvenience for me.

It surprisingly had beach access.

The room obviously needed a deep clean, food in fridge, bathroom could use some cleaning, bugger on tile by toilet paper holder. Rug was very stained.

Love the commitment to the theme! Our room was delightful.

A bit expensive for location.

The advertising for the hotel is somewhat misleading. It appears to show a hotel on Great Sacandaga Lake, and implies there is a lakefront and beach one can swim at. While the motel overlooks the lake, there is a road between the motel and the lake and some other facility, I believe a marina and bar, on the actual lakefront across the street. The place also has no pool, so there's nowhere to swim or really sit on the shore of the lake, though I suppose you can see the lake from the motel through the trees and said structures. The place was clean, the woman on duty, Celine, very nice. While the "Gatsby decor" is funm if a touch too kitschy, my room, the Tom Buchannan room felt cramped. This is really a small, wayside hotel that's been prettied up a bit, but the $180.00 a night price tag was too high. Then again, it appears to be the only game in town, which is Northville, NY.

This Motel is very nice and cosy. The rooms are nicely decorated and the theme of "The Great Gatsby" is to find in every detail. Everything is super clean. And by the way: the towels were extra soft.

Nice atmosphere, cool staff and clean house. Close to the lake, easy to enjoy the natural surroundings. Highly recommended!
