Ponta Poranga Jungle Lodge

Abbiamo apprezzato la posizione, nel cuore della foresta amazzonica e lo chalet dove abbiamo alloggiato, con un patio meraviglioso. Eccellente lo staff, sempre disponibile, cordiale e sorridente che ci ha anche accompagnato durante le escursioni. Ottimi anche i pasti a base di prodotti locali, serviti, su richiesta, direttamente sul patio del nostro alloggio. Consiglieremo il lodge a chi vorrà vivere un’esperienza indimenticabile in amazzonia.

Amazing Amazon Experience Choose this place if you truly want to experience the Amazon. The lodge is about 1 hour away by boat, but because we visited during the low-water season, the trip took a bit longer—the river levels were very low. it took us and 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were told the journey is much faster when the water is high. The owners are extremely kind and accommodating. They even hired a translator to stay on the property with us for three days to help with communication, which made a huge difference. The accommodations are rustic, do not expect a Ritz but comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There is also a backup generator, so we never had issues with power outages. They offer a variety of tours, though the private ones—such as river surfing and visiting waterfalls—are a bit pricey and require boating back toward Manaus. Still, we felt they were well worth it. The lodge is deep in the jungle, and when the river is high, guests can swim right in front of the property. Unfortunately, the water was too low during our stay, but it didn’t take away from the experience. I would absolutely stay here again. The food was delicious and plentiful, with a nice variety of dishes. We especially loved the fish. Overall, an unforgettable stay in the heart of the Amazon.

We enjoyed our trip. We did not have an all-inclusive package, so if you choose to go à la carte, make sure to review all additional costs before your stay, including the transfers to and from the airport.

A acomodação é ótima ! Tudo muito limpo e organizado . O pessoal é ótimo . Super prestativos , educados , gentis . A comida é excelente ! Os passeios oferecidos são maravilhosos . Valeu muito a pena a hospedagem !

1. The staffs went out of their way to help us. We went to the lodge during Amazon's dry season which makes things very difficult and complicated, to access the lodge we need to take two different boats, and at one point the hotel staffs need to get out of the boat to push to boat. 2. The lodge run like a butler mode, our guide Ismail greets us at the Manaus hotel, accompany us to the lodge, guide us all the tours and even cook for us. He is a great chef and he cooks amazing fish! 3. There is surprisingly no mosquitos over our 2 night stays.

1. It's a little unfortunate but due to a thunderstorm, the power went off shortly after we check in, and the power only came back in the 2nd day. The lodge has a powerful generator though, so we still manage to get some power. 2. The tours and food are very expensive. I perfectly understand the lodge is at a remote location, but the tours and food are still way too expensive.

Pranzo e cena buoni ma eccessivamente costosi con pasti poco abbondanti, così come tutte le escursioni che hanno un prezzo esagerato rispetto a quanto offerto. Nella tariffa è compresa solo la colazione e per qualsiasi altra cosa sei vincolato con loro, motivo per cui se ne approfittano. Parlando di costi: -non consiglio il jungle trek in quanto appunto troppo costoso rispetto all’attività svolta, la guida che ci accompagnava doveva fare da “traduttrice” ma oltre a non parlare inglese non ne sapeva nulla; -il River Safari tour prevede di rientrare a Manaus e di entrare da un’altra parte di amazzonia, perdendo cosi il fascino di essere immersi nella natura, nel complesso bello ma come per gli altri tour tutto molto superficiale, perché non c’è nessuno che sia preparato. Al nostro arrivo non ci è stata assegnata la camera che avevamo prenotato e pagato prima del nostro arrivo, abbiamo fatto due notti e ci hanno fatto cambiare due camere. Per la prima notte ci hanno dato una camera “migliore” mentre per la seconda notte una “peggiore” e per compensare non ci hanno fatto pagare il sunset tour.

Si la poussada est dans l'esprit de ce que l'ont peu attendre d'un lodge dans la jungle. Certain petits détails ternissent le tableau : climatisation défectueuse, qualité de litterie, du linge de toilette (une serviette en fin de vie avec des trous....), le petit déjeuner moyen !!! Tout cela s'entend eux égard du prix qui est relativement élevé pour ce type d'établissement.
