Massanutten Resort

The resort was wonderful overall. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a lot to offer. The tour of the grounds was impressive and the facilities were great. We had a fantastic 2-night stay and would consider returning.

The jacuzzi in our unit was not working throughout our stay. Despite contacting maintenance, the issue was never resolved, which was disappointing. Additionally, we attended a property presentation that started off well with a great tour, but became uncomfortable toward the end as we felt pressured to make an investment. It wasn’t the experience we expected.

You can't enjoy your patio without the smell of marijuana. It was so bad it actually was coming into our condo through our patio door.

What breakfast? It did not come with breakfast! We like the slopes and nature. The best thing about the hotel is the balcony/terrace as well as the free pool and free facilities.

What I did not like was how the staff tricked us and was not clear about the timeshare. They said let us show you around the resort and as a reward we will give you free ski tickets. It was only minutes later that I realized with the reminder card that this could be a timeshare and not free or included with the stay. The lady said it would only be 2 or less hours and we would be in the slopes by 10am. We finished with the presentation @12pm and did not even eat breakfast yet after all the pressuring and bullying to get their timeshare. So we ended up in the slopes by 3pm. Moreover, the place stank! The rooms are tired and old and smelled musty. There is a fridge but no microwave to heat up your cold food. Also we could not even take advantage of the free facilities because none of the staff mention them in depth-just gave us a piece of paper and sent us to our merry way. So how would I know which is free and which is not-except the pool pass that we got!

Location and overall service, very nice and helpful staff. We are definitely going back!

The property was pretty cool. It’s like a community right on the resort.

Arcades, pools and other family attractions close early 7-8pm early. Also the restaurants close early also. The shower are so uncomfortable. The water is hard and leaves skin and hair really dry. It’s also not the cleanest, we found rose petals under our bed and mold in the tub.

Not much

Not enough parking spaces, dirty jacuzzi tub, nasty coffee maker, outdated uncomfortable bed, no pillow protectors on the pillows. They did reach out to offer a complimentary stay but I really don’t want to go back. The right thing to do would be to refund my money that I completely wasted to have a comfortable getaway
