A Bed of Roses

It was quiet, cute, and close to Yosemite. Very pretty morning view. The host was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the room was cool.

There wasn’t a shower only a tub, which I wasn’t expecting but maybe I missed that in the description. The toilet paper roll was low and no extras were in the room.

The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit! And the staff was really nice. Great communication on how to get there and other instructions.

When we needed a take out breakfast, I asked for hard boiled eggs to be added to yogurt and muffin for protein. I appreciated the owner complying with my request and offering a banana as well.

The common area of the house looked a bit dated but was ok. The bedroom was worn looking. There was not enough light in the room. We brought a living area floor lamp into our room so we could see. A lampshade in our room was in terrible condition and needs replacing. The steps into the property are steep and numerous and in need of repainting. Our room and the common area were stifling hot when we arrived. Turn the air on low in advance please.

There is a bathtub but no standing shower

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for visiting Yosemite and is surrounded by beautiful nature. Also the breakfast was the best of our entire trip (freshly prepared blueberry pancakes, potato patties, fresh fruit, toast, etc.).

I like the pool but you have to leave running to avoid mosquitoes. I like the view.

I don’t like the front door is always unlocked, it should be secure for everyone inside. It should had a code like all of the bedrooms. At least the front door needs a code. They need to do a better job in maintaining the bushes, flower, trees, grass and the gazebo because there is spiderwebs around the house and it needs to cut the grass. They need watering the flowers and the plants. The plants are dying. Thy need to improve the breakfast because it doesn’t have proteins and variety. I was expecting a better breakfast.

Clean and tidy! Lisa made great breakfast for us and was very friendly and helpful!

Lack of maintenance on the grounds, weeds growing everywhere, and some areas (ie the deck) needing painting. Our room, while nicely done, was really small, and we had trouble moving around.

The location is excellent, just a few miles from Oakhurst and on the way to Mariposa Grove. Lisa, the host goes to great effort every morning to make a delicious breakfast and is very helpful. Our bedroom was a little small in proportion to the bathroom which was huge.
