Grade 2 Listed Converted Church, Within 750yrds to Southsea Beach

The property was spacious and well appointed. The beds were comfortable with clean linen. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were set out comfortably with nice touches of sofa cushions, table mats etc, and the bathrooms even had bath wash.

Staff were very helpful

It would have been better if all the bathroom weren't in the rooms but if there was one communal

Spacious and comfortable and in a great location. Walkable to all the historical attractions of Southsea and Portsmouth. Spacious and comfortable accommodation.

The check in procedure which we had to conduct on the day we were travelling on a mobile phone was torturous and time consuming. Could they not take the payment on the day before and just send us a message on the day?. Also the kitchen which had good equipment was running out of cups and bowls etc.

The accommodation was not cleaned properly. Beds and bathrooms were fine however it had not been hoovered or dusted. The kitchen cupboard also needed to be cleaned. My friend hoovered her room 3 times to get rid of all the hair and debris on her bedroom carpet. There was not enough seating for 5 people a broken sofa with a broken led was left in the lounge area and had not been replaced to ensure sufficient seating. The remove control for the TV was next to useless making it extremely difficult to change channels etc. I was only sent the booking form on the morning I arrived at the location requiring copies of my passport which luckily I had a photo of on my phone. We also had issues with payment, payment was taken and then refunded. overall it was quite stressful

Very spacious and a little quirky. Well equipped and in very good condition. The location was ideal for all aspects of visiting Portsmouth and Southsea, with ample on street parking in adjacent streets.

Property was dirty, dust, carpets with stains, toilets dirty, furniture was tired and the kitchen was very dirty. We paid a premium to stay here as it was a gift to my partner. I was so upset but I didn’t mention the problems until we left as it was a busy period and my partners birthday plans were more important.

This is a very unique venue at a very reasonable price. It’s only one part of the Church, so not just as big as you’d think from the outside pics but it covers two floors, the main bedroom (with the arch) is stunning and the other rooms a good size and also comfortable. This would be a great location for any group visiting the city.

Quirkiness and very spacious. Great place for a family gathering

Living room carpet was very grubby. We looked everywhere for the TV remote, eventually found it underneath the settee! Grill in oven had crumbs in it. Blind in main bedroom didn’t work. Shower screen in main bedroom en-suite needed de-scaling it was orange and crusty. Lino flooring in downstairs toilet doesn’t fit properly and black mould on the window sill

Location is excellent besides noise from street and nearby bars

Very poorly maintained. Stained carpets, damaged walls, appliances not working. Quite shabby.
