Hotel Beach Don Gonzalo

The staff were great. We had to reduce our stay by one night (to get to the airport in time nothing to do with the hotel) and the lady on the desk went out of her way to help with all our questions via Google translate… Hotel is close to the beach, the town is fun. Try the tacos at the market they are delicious and much cheeper than the beach. (shrimp tacos from the main La Palapa on the beach also delicious though got to try that at least once too) And try the family run La Takiza on C.13 in the evenings, that was the best option at night. Ps do your research before jumping on the first flamingo trip you come across there are at least 3 different options and they vary in value for money ;) and it’s best to do first thing in the morning for more birds.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming! The hotel was only a few minutes walk to the beach and there were a variety of modest dining options on the beach or near the town square. The hotel had a food service and weekend bar service. We really enjoyed the pool area and spent some relaxing by the pool. We were picked up at the hotel to go on a fabulous guided canoe tour through the mangroves where we saw a large variety of birds including flamingos! The hotel staff helped us with the motel taxi transport to the tour site. Make sure you book a room with a window view. Thanks again to all the staff at this wonderful hotel. It is a great town to visit fora couple days. This hotel is very pleasant. Well run and great breakfast. Not much English spoken but very nice people who take care of you anyway.

Bon emplacement, propre, cuisine , petit bémol nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 mais au moment de se coucher nous nous sommes aperçu qu il y avait pas de drap pour le canapé des enfants. Nous avons du aller demander des draps et faire le lit !

Good location and the room was as in the photo. The bathroom was clean. The wifi was spotty but we could mostly use it.

Hotel muy limpio y cómodo. Cerca de la playa, la atención del personal muy buena. Cuenta con restaurante por las mañanas y los desayunos ricos y a buen precio.

Buena estancia, comodidad y ambiente lo único que no es que hay mucho ruido en la madrugada pero casi no se escucha, muy padre la estancia volvería a ir

Clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast. Generally a nice place with lousy neighbours.
