The Swan Hotel and Spa

I love the swan, the location is perfect, the charming old parts really are wonderful…but

The old part of the building had aircon turned off as the listed part of the building can no longer have it??

Location was stunning,facilities good, and the staff were lovely.

Paying £25 per day for extra cleaning for a dog, when the room is only going to be cleaned at the end of the stay. Added to which the chairs and headboard were heavily stained and the floor was dirty. It appears to me that bathrooms, bed linen are cleaned but the floor does not get washed. Food areas organised chaos.

Loved the two pools one in the hotel and then one separate for the spa. We made the most of this and went into both as we was booked into the spa for the spa party, which was amazing.

Beautiful place to stay. Our suite was lovely. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is superb. Everything is ran so efficiently. We had a really nice stay and used the swimming pool too. We also walked to lakeside and got the boat over to bowness which was really easy

Breakfast was great - the spa facilities were also very good

The rooms was a little small compared to the cost, but it was beautiful and clean

Came here for a few days after coming to Cumbria from Manchester to attend a funeral in Penrith and so thought be nice to spend a few days here before heading back home. Well, what can I say it was excellent from start to finish very nice hotel, great food and very friendly staff, will I come again yes if the chance ever occurred.
