Very well designed and decorated boutique hotel with fantastic roof top terrace with pool overlooking the ocean. Delicious continental mini breakfast served on the terrace good enough to start the day.

The location was great.

The bathroom does not have any ventilation and is all concrete. The shower is very awkward and somewhat dangerous with sharp concrete corners in places where you need to stand to shower. The shower pressure was poor and the shower head was not able to be angled for shorter individuals. Additionally there is construction happening next door Monday through Saturday making the rooftop extremely loud and not able to be enjoyed for leisure throughout the day. The room is very loud, especially at night and bright street lights keep the room lit up brightly all night long. The shades do little to nothing to block light.

I was not advised that major construction was taking place inches from our room. Loud drilling and construction workers shouting prevented any sense of quiet enjoyment of our accommodation. Had I been advised, I would have selected another property. As it stood, the helpful manager of Villa Mercedes allowed us to switch rooms to that property. It was sufficient, but not comparable to Villa Pancha. I attempted to contact Booking.Com and received no response. This was the last two nights of our vacation and I wanted it to be magical. While we made the most if it, Booking.com and Casa Pancha failed to live up to their obligation. Advise a guest of loud construction taking place on or adjacent to the property.

See above, the room itself was very attractive and the roof top pool looked amazing. The pool at Villa Mercedes was ice cold. Our room at Villa Mercedes had black mold on the walls.

We could hear everything from upstairs. It was not well insolated from noise which made our night a bit harsh

Breakfast was quite plain (but it is a continental breakfast) perhaps a few more options of fruit, maybe some fresher pastry. We found several good selections around the area. We loved the ability to walk around and the nearness to a lot of things (we didn't rent a car, we walked everywhere)

The windows/ability to make our room quieter. This is "The Loft" which is on the ground floor. We had a TON of street noise, construction noise right next to the hotel (all day) a delivery of bricks at 1:30 in the morning, Chrismas Eve/Christmas morning LOUD Karaoke until 7 in the morning -- all of this could probably be addressed with some thicker windows. I had to get earplugs to be able to sleep. Obviously, this isn't a quiet town, but the ability to have quiet would be a good improvement.

Great location, 10 minute walk to beach and Malecon. Great design and touches internally, and the rooftop and infinity pool compliments perfectly, a great little find!
