WoodSpring Suites San Antonio UTSA - Medical Center

At 8am i pounded on the roll up door at the desk. "NO COFFEE SUPPLIES! He opened it and set out 1 tiny cup. I got a couple creamers and he closed up tight again. No excuse. Earlier when i wo,e up to desolation, I went across the street to Holiday inn, real coffee cups and ready by 7am. Had a cup. Next time i will stay there. Amd take the sickness off the ad lgbtq abominations welcome? Gross! Nasty! How about familiar welcome.

Transparency: booked through AmEx travel. I needed a place to stay for a slightly longer time while I awaited my new house to have the last few things completed. I chose this place due to their own advertised amenities. They claimed a full kitchen and frequent room cleaning. When I got there, the "kitchen" was a kitchenette; truthfully, that's what I expected. What I didn't expect was that the kitchenette came with NO supplies that are typical of these types of hotels. The only thing it had was a very small plastic cutting board. Neither pots/pans, plates, silverware, nor cooking tools were available. The frequent cleaning turned out to be once every two weeks. I was told the dates my particular room was scheduled to be cleaned, and only one date fell within my stay. Did they clean the room? NO. Throughout my stay, I had trash piling up in the trash can, and I never had any of the linen changed. The thing that truly takes the cake is the AC system. For whatever reason, they have it set up to not run when no one is in the room. If you told me that it was set higher when unoccupied, I would completely understand, but I routinely returned to a very muggy room since the AC was not running to help mitigate the humidity buildup. I kept the AC between 68-73 F, with 68 F being what they had it set to. The front desk clerk who checked me in was a tad infuriating. The way he spoke to me was bordering on insulting my intelligence. I get it, NO CATS ARE ALLOWED. You don't need to repeat it to me multiple times as if I'm an imbecile who cannot comprehend English. I already signed your document agreeing to that clause, I don't need to be talked to in his tone of voice or with his attitude. It was pretty obvious to me that he had zero interest in working there and most likely feels he has no other option. Oh, and he also did a veiled threat by stating there is a corporate-level employee always present in the back office, and that if I didn't agree with something he said, I could speak to this corporate guy, who will just tell me the same thing, and I'd just have to deal with not liking it. Great customer service right there. Finally, this hotel chain is a bit of a fraud. They don't tell you up front about their refund policies until it's too late and you are already on the premises. The clerk above told me that they are a NO REFUNDS hotel. When I checked against their website, Woodsprings simply states that refunds are determined at a hotel level. I lost money by checking out a day early, but I feel it was worth it to just leave this place sooner rather than later. Bottom line: DO NOT go to this hotel for whatever reason unless it's your only option. AmEx also needs to block this hotel from their listings, as it is insulting to have their members be exposed to this low level of service.

The prices are very good. The facility is fine. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Services are limited but that reflects lower cost.

I'm thrilled to share my experience at the WoodSpring Suites Medical Center in San Antonio! The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was friendly, warm, and respectful - they made us feel like family. A huge shoutout to Jeremy at the front desk, who always greeted us with a smile and loved chatting with us, including my son. He's definitely a people person and has a great way with kids! I told the manager to keep him forever - he's a game-changer. The rooms were small, but we knew what to expect given the rate. They were mostly quiet, and we appreciated the convenience of having amenities like an on-site laundry facility, and being close to businesses like Walmart, H-E-B, and Whataburger. However, there were a few areas for improvement. The water pressure in the showers was a challenge, and our first room had a tub issue that the staff promptly addressed. We also brought our own cooking supplies to use in the room. The laundry room's folding table was often greasy, which was a bit of a hassle. One thing that impressed me was the cleanliness - I didn't see any bugs, which is a big plus for me. One staff member at the front desk, who works Friday and Sunday nights, didn't quite meet the high standards set by the rest of the team. But overall, the staff's warmth and kindness made up for any shortcomings. Given the positives and areas for improvement, I'd say this WoodSpring Suites location stands out from the others I've stayed at. The location is great, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the room (about 90% in my book). I'd definitely return thanks to Jeremy and the rest of the wonderful staff.

Woodspring Suites is in a convenient neighborhood. It's close by Sam's, Walmart and HEB. Lot's of restaurants are also close by. This made it easy to shop and cook in the kitchenette at the woodspring suites. (We have egg and peanut Allergy so it was a + to find a place to stay where we are able to cook our own food safely and know what's in it) *Location is too far off from other attractions in San Antonio Sea Word, Lego Discovery, Sea Life, Zoo River Walk, Alamo, Missions. We were also able to make a two day trip to Corpus Christi. From San Antonio Corpus is a three hour drive away. *location was not far to west and south side to meet up and visit family members. Lots of places in sa to give military discounts We really enjoyed having Steven as management he was able to extend our stay and was very helpful.

Possibly if they change the clean company they use the 1st manager when we checked in told us he has to inspect it to make sure its clean. We found a large amount of crubs under the bed and the bed was covered in dog hair. *They allow dogs but for people allergies to dogs they should only allow certain rooms for pets for people who are allergic to dogs. We took pictures and showed the manager Steven and he was able to switch our room to a more suitable one. When they did a cleaning after the 1st couple days they changed the bedding but did not sweep. *They have a coffee machine but did not have creamer for most of the days we were there and have it only to be used at 7am-12pm.

I liked the nice size laundry room. My door wouldn't lock and I wasn't given an option for another room. Moved all my belonging back to my car. After coming back on the second night I found that it had been fixed. At least it got fixed

Shower/tub holding water, uncomfortable beds, only thing good about the stay was cold AC, will not stay again.

Well my first night with my mom when we check in our first room the sheets on the bed was smelling as well as the pillows so we had to take our money to wash the sheets the restroom was dirty we had to clean that. But overall love front desk agent they are the bomb.
