The Starfish

The inclusive breakfast was very limited and the same each day- bread,bagel and cream cheese. The timing differ to what stated online, 7-8 instead of the advertised 7-9. Limited seating space, small area and short time. Definitely don’t cater to customers. Cleanliness in apartment was questionable with cockroaches seen in the bathroom.

My location was great… I actually did not stay at the starfish, they asked upon check-in if I mind being moved to a different building that was Actually Closer to the beach, only a half a block away. That was great

My car got towed with a parking pass on it… It was a mistake that they won’t own… As a matter of fact, Donna Outright lied, and when I pointed out the discrepancy between her word and the paperwork for the towing, the manager turned his back and decided that our conversation was over. It cost me a $13 Lyft ride and $167.95 to get my car. Also, my client and I missed the main purpose of our trip to South Florida because of the timing of this costly mistake.

Asked for 100 Deposit and said it would not be repaid for 7 to 10 business days. That’s theft

I liked our room and the comfort of the bed. The location was great.1 min walk to the beach.

I did not like that there is literally nothing in the kitchen to use unless you go to the trouble of asking for a kitchen box. Also since they only clean every 3 days our floor was super sandy and felt gross to walk on but there was no broom to clean up with. Since it's right on the beach I imagine most people have this problem. They should also have disposable cups in the room so you at least have one for water. The breakfast was rather disappointing. We didn't even go there the last day, which is probably what they are hoping for. Imagine the absolute cheapest way to feed a crowd of people and that is what you get. There are no protein options. It is all carbs. They do have peanut butter and cream cheese for the toast and bagels. I did NOT like having to pay for parking, I think it was about $17 per day. That really adds up.

The property is close to the beach. It was pretty clean. The discount on beach chairs and umbrella was nice. It’s nice that you have access to the pools at the other hotels. Breakfast was nice. Liked having a full size refrigerator. Housekeeping was helpful even with the language barrier.

The bed was TERRIBLE. There was not a hair dryer or iron, we called the front desk but they were dismissive. Room decor. There was this weird square they built over the bed. No bedside tables.

The room is old as old can be. The price is too high for the horrible room.

Remodeling will be a good idea. This place is horrendous. Location is the only advantage of this motel. The rest is absolutely bad. Don’t let yourself be tricked by the pictures.

The bed and clean sheets were fantastic. Location, clean.

I couldn't get new towels and wash clothes delivered. Towels replenished only on 3rd day, no email responses, the floor became sticky when walking on it due to the film left by the cleaner, and also the aroma of the cleaner gave me headaches. I would have to air the place out everytime I came inside after a day out. The windowsills and baseboards with other areas needed new paint. The bathtub needed refinishing (or tile the tub in for a better presentation). No kitchen items without request-although, if that lowers the price down-I'll deal with it. Yet the paint issue made me feel they weren't concerned about details and concerned about health issues of customers. The wall above the toilet window was bulging due to water damage and there could be mold issues! Staff could explain that keeping the key card near a phone could demagnatize it! Prevention is worth a lot to a business and helps with positive advertising.

The room was clean, and tidy.

There were no utensils in room. No coffee, asked at the front desk, but non was delivered. No wash towels.
