Great location, close to the beach.

Very old and dirty. You needed shoes when you came out of the shower to avoid getting your feet dirty, it had poor lighting, minimal storage for your clothes, 3 hangers in the closet, baseboards and doors were filthy dirty. Bathroom was old and chipped paint in the tub, faucet in the tub was coming off.

Terrible roaches would not refund and they put 100 deposit on my card

I reserved a room at the starfish hotel when I got to the front desk the gave me a key and sent me to my room. I got to the room with my 2 kids and they were multiple things weong with the room. First the room I booked said it was a studio and the one I got was not. It said the prop was in front of the beach it was not. They sent me to a completely different location. The room we were sent that I did not book had an exposed electrical outlet, room had a strong smell of urine and bleach, front door did not lock properly, there was dust all over the room, the bathroom was dirty. Like I said previously I was traveling with my 2 kids and both of them have asthma and my oldest had an asthma attack earlier that day. I was not going to expose them to getting more sick. My daughter was scared because of the issue with the door and because there were 3 police car outside when we were walking to our room. I contacted Hotels.com who is the thirda party who I booked the room with. They apologized and said they need the properties to authorize the room but the hotel declined. The following day I called Hotels.com again and explained the situation to customer services and the person told me the same thing, they called the hotel because they said the room conditions were unaceptable but had the same outcome. I contacted the hotel and the manager was really rude and said that they didnt care what had happened but under no circumtances they offer refunds.

Sorry but this was beyond terrible. Badly in need of renovation, everything old, worn out and dirty. Blinds broken, floor nasty. Bathroom awful. Check-in several blocks away. Luckily for us the lock on the door wouldn’t lock, and we were moved to another property.
