We enjoyed the location and seclusion of the property. The room was nice and cozy.

Two things stood out: 1. The GoldWynn was the only beach along the shoreline that did not manage the seaweed daily manning the beach unattractive. 2. A better menu variety would be good. The restaurant, room service, and pool area all serve the same food. We had Chinese and Mexican food delivered on two occasions.

"Quiet luxury done right"

We had a fabulous stay at Goldwynn Resort & Residences from 12|25-1/1,2025, traveling with three of my children (ages 17-24). I'm honestly not sure where to begin-everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were promptly and warmly greeted by the staff, setting the tone for the entire stay. The front desk team was incredibly helpful, taking the time to confirm all of our off-site reservations and ensuring everything was organized and seamless for us—an extra level of service that was truly appreciated. We rented an edge suite with sweeping ocean views, which was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. We ordered room service daily, and it was consistently delicious and delivered within about 20 minutes each time-impressive and so convenient. We spent our days relaxing on the beach, where Rashad and Antiqua were outstanding servers. They truly went above and beyond, taking exceptional care of us with drinks and fantastic food from the Amara restaurant and bar. Jerome was equally wonderful, helping us every day with chairs and umbrellas, always with a smile. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for. We also dined one evening at OIA Restaurant, where both the food and service were top-notch. We travel often, and all of us commented on how relaxing this vacation truly was. It was exactly what I was hoping for—no crowds, no rushing to claim beach chairs, just a peaceful, quiet beachfront escape. A perfect getaway, and we would absolutely return.

"Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend"

Location was great for us, lovely quiet hotel beach with beds, umbrellas and lots of towels readily available. Rooms were really spacious with super comfy beds/pillows. Nice clean bedding, changed regularly. Really friendly reception staff on arrival, good restaurant for breakfast & dinner and a lovely bar by the beach for light food & drinks, all the food & beverage staff were lovely. Hotel looked really festive on arrival as well with nice Christmas songs playing, greeted with a glass of Prosecco.

The only observation from our party was that the lobby, restaurant and ground floor coffee shop area was very cold all the time (Aircon) which put us off going to sit and listen to the entertainment at night.

"A perfect hotel for a small escape"

It is a relatively small hotel compared with the giant hotels in the island. The facilities are excellent as well as the beach. The food at the restaurant was perfect as well as the breakfast.

"Customer service lacking"

Beautiful ocean and pool. Rooms new and bright and great for families. But based on mostly good TripAdvisor reviews until now, something must be going on at this hotel considering the poor customer service. They appear severely understaffed and give very disingenuous apologies when guests express concerns. There is no asking what they can do to make things better and there seems to be zero concern as to whether or not people will return. At check in, we were told our refrigerator would be filled with drinks every day. When I went back to ask why it hadn’t been done, I was asked for the name of the staff member who had apparently given me false information. I said I would not report anyone and that they should address with their staff as a group but again was told they could do nothing unless I gave them a name. The restaurant: Food took forever, orders were wrong or not entered and the portions were minuscule. One morning at the breakfast bar, the only option other than the sit down restaurant, pastries were sold out by 10:30. Another morning, there was no whole milk except for one box which was frozen. All advertised activities while we were here were canceled, including two lawn yoga sessions and a cultural celebration. The posted notice regarding the former stated ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’ and the latter because the performers overdid themselves at the town’s annual celebration earlier in the week. Shower water pressure was no more than a drip. Chair, umbrella and towel service at beach are basically self service. One day, there was no service at all such that we offered to help an elderly couple get set up so they weren’t lifting chairs. The water cooler at the pool is not filled until 11. Doing it earlier when the pool opens seems an easy fix. There was no housekeeping one day until 6.pm. After being granted a late checkout on our last day and having our bracelets reprogrammed so as not to lose access at regular checkout time, we lost access. I hope Goldwynn figures out its challenges and does as the physical location and facilities give it much potential.

"Mediocre"

I will not be returning. I found the hotel Mediocre and although the staff tried their best they are not at the standard of small luxury. The restaurant is mediocre and expensive for what you receive. I ordered toast and for $6 receive one small piece. My daughter ordered shakshuka and the egg was raw. They said that’s how they cook it and when I explained how disappointed I was they acted like they were doing a generous act of kindness comping that one dish! Very mean. The rooms seem promising but as time goes by one realizes that they are not cleaned properly. No amenities provided. If a hotel is looking to save money on everything it is evident here. The beach is okay but you have to deal with the chairs yourself pretty much and there are not enough sun lounge mats. The hotel tries to be luxurious but misses the mark. If it wasn’t for the weather which is nice it would have been total disaster
