The bed sheets were not clean.

Location was very convenient to nearby shops, public transportation, and food. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful :)

Even though I had a 5 night stay, my initial hotel room was connected to another room. This caused problems with sleeping because they were loud in the middle of the night. I had to push to get a room change, but eventually it was resolved. The breakfast, though it was nice that it was offered, was bland and nothing extraordinary or unique.

The view was just lovely. We had a delightful chat with the Chef about a particular type of French Toast and she made a small plate of just that very thing for us to try. Wow! That is above and beyond. Also, my husband left his cell phone in our Lyft transportation, where contact with the Driver is difficult to find on the app. Our concierge was relentless in finding an email contact to let them know about our problem. He promised to stay on top of it until we received the phone. Oh my goodness! What terrific and memorable customer service.

8.8/10. Beautiful restaurant, lobby, snug/study area, very comfortable room, love the mini-split room HVAC systems, great beds, sparkling clean and roomy bathroom, great shower. So much parking. I miss this place until I return.

There is way too much ambient aroma of cologne-ish perfumery. It is overwhelming to the point of irritation and difficult to ignore. If it's at a ten, it belongs at a 2. If it were low or gone completely this might be the best hotel in Sacramento for the price. Breakfast was lacking. Fake eggs - no thanks. Bacon was in pieces. Potatoes were maybe room temp and bland. Odd smell of ashtray/smoke present in breakfast room limited to one small location. This sub-par breakfast did nothing to diminish my enjoyment of my stay or its value.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast staff member was genuinely lovely and welcoming, and the bar staff were great. However, my overall experience was very disappointing due to serious communication and customer service issues. I had contacted the hotel multiple times in advance (and through Booking.com) to explain a flight disruption and request a date change, but received no response. Despite this, I was marked as a no-show and charged again on arrival after a 30-hour journey. When I tried to resolve this the following morning, the staff member I spoke with refused to review the documented communication, showed no empathy for the circumstances, and I was left significantly out of pocket. This situation could have been handled with basic communication and understanding. Unfortunately, it turned what should have been a straightforward stay into a very stressful experience.

Towel ring was falling off wall. Pressure of door closer at room was too strong for seniors. 8th floor hall had duct tape hanging loose from ceiling where someone was patching.

The gentleman working at breakfast was an absolute ray of sunshine — very friendly, chatty, and a lovely way to start the morning. The bar staff were also great and made my evening there very enjoyable. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and the property itself has a lot of potential.

I was extremely disappointed with how my arrival was handled after severe flight disruption. In the 24 hours before my scheduled check-in, I contacted both the hotel and Booking.com multiple times to explain that my flights had been delayed and to request a date change. Booking.com confirmed to me in writing that they had contacted the property. Despite this, I received no communication from the hotel, and my reservation was still marked as a no-show. When I finally arrived after approximately 30 hours of travel, there were system issues which resulted in a very long wait in the lobby late at night. The following morning, a front desk staff member was dismissive and unwilling to review my case or the evidence I had, telling me she “didn’t need the full story” and insisting I pay for another night, despite the fact that I had documentation of my attempts to contact the hotel and written proof of flight disruption from the airline. She also made inappropriate comments about my accent, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I was charged a walk-in rate for the night after being marked as a no-show, even though I had clearly communicated the situation in advance, leaving me significantly out of pocket through no fault of my own. The lack of communication, the handling of the situation, and the staff attitude were extremely disappointing. This experience significantly overshadowed what should have been a smooth stay, and unfortunately it has made me very hesitant to stay with this hotel group again.
