Cosy Axminster Studio with Extra Beds

La maison est située au bord d'une route très passante mais le studio est très bien isolé.

The studio has been cleverly designed to fit as much into one room as possible. The double bed is very comfortable and the sofa bed is of good quality, as are all the furnishings. There is a view of the beautiful view of the garden and the bathroom is very spacious.

The property is directly on the main road, on a corner making it easy to miss. There isn’t direct access to the garden - our child is disabled and wasn’t offered an easier way to access the garden other than the trek up the narrow track, through the woods and down the path. We specifically chose this property for the garden so this was a huge disappointment. Large window to be the back garden but not opening. Only a small window to the front with constant road noise. Road noise present day and night. Not quite a kitchen, more basic facilities to cook but small oven took twice as long. Ended up getting microwave meals.

Perfect little place with everything we needed - super comfortable and lovely hosts

We have loved the room and bathroom. It was high standard clean and everything you might wish for was provided. There was even a sewing set available for any emergencies! There were books and family games in a room as well. If you have come with literally nothing, everything was in the room. Fresh towels, cosmetics, additional blankets, local food leaflets, local attractions leaflets, espresso machine, jug of milk to welcome you was provided in the fridge. Host- John, was very welcoming and explained everything thoroughly, also they have a big captain bell in front of the house to be used if you need anything. Garden was pleasant and there was a deer coming to eat the grass in the garden. Really lovely, hotel quality accomodation.

The house is by a very busy street so we could hear the traffic all the time, even at night. It wasn't a problem for me but my husband, who is a light sleeper, didn't get much sleep at night as the traffic doesn't fade away even at night. Kitchen amenities are very limited because, even though there's a microwave, small cooker and oven, a fire detector is just above it with the ceiling being quite low, therefore we didn't risk cooking anything over it. We had a simple, microwave meal instead. It was ok for our short stay,however if you are planning to stay longer, I wouldn't count on too much cooking. Also "the kitchen" is located right in the middle between beds, so I assume, everything would smell of cooking. I didn't like the layout as the one, big window facing the garden doesn't open at all, so the place has literally no fresh air. There is one little window by the front door and windows in the bathroom but due to the layout you don't have much air circulation in there.

Hosts met us upon arrival to hand over the keys and were generally very attentive, presenting us with a box of eggs from the onsite chickens, advising us of good local places to eat and attractions and were available for an additional queries we had. Accommodation was on the small side but was very clean and tidy and it was clear a lot had gone in to make a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Would book again.

Was expecting the kitchen facilities to be a little better - the fridge space was limited and there wasn't anywhere to wash up however the hosts did come to take and deal with anything that needed washing up. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We were beautifully welcomed and enjoyed our stay.

Met up with old school friends, had a fabulous weekend, Karen was a fantastic host, everything we needed was in our little studio apartment. Comfortable, clan a home from home.
