Host & Stay - Abbey Court Apartment

Good location.

The place was extremely dirty, hadn’t been cleaned properly. Floor was dirty, carpet stained dust in most places, toaster had old crumbs on it. Behind the door looked like an animal dropping.. behind the bedroom door there was layers of dust, cobwebs in most corners.

Good Location,

Dirt swept under the bed, Strong smell of fish in apartment, sink dirty, stains on rug in living room, crockery not washed properly, strong smell of cat pee on corridor. Would not recommend staying here.

Great location, lovely flat and communication from Host & Stay was excellent.

I feel that the mattress is now due to be replaced, but it was still a comfortable night’s sleep.

Modern apartment with great views, comfy bed and good range of appliances in good location.

There was an issue with parking voucher which got sorted but could have done without. We were lucky to be able to park in the road and didn't use the car as there were rarely any spaces in the immediate streets but think this is same for anyone staying in Whitby. I didn't appreciate getting texts and emails reminding me of out departure date, never had this before and really not appreciated....given how strict arrival and departure times were, to get the apartment ready for next guests, the accommodation was superficially clean but saw cobwebs in living room, dust around the bin area and door rails for fitted wardrobes dirty. Sofa seat also stained. Small things but detracted from what is a very nicely presented apt.

Property was nice great location

All the stairs you need to climb to apartment and no Lights on in stair in evening apart from that it was nice view over the abbey

Whitby is lovely place, location was great and apartment was adequate for what we needed. There was a parking permit but parking is difficult as most places are taken. You have to be quick.

Windows were filthy, the apartment is right at the top of 4 flights of stairs and no lift. Toilet seat loose and hairdryer faulty and fire hazard. There was also a nasty stench that came through the bedroom that was so bad we had to go in the other room. It is probably due to drains so not a fault of owners but not nice when your sleeping.

The shower room radiator didn’t work

the location was perfect. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to see and do

we thought there would be a washing machine as advertised but when we arrived there wasn't one, only a dishwasher. There were no laundry facilities anywhere close to the accommodation They expected us to use the same towels for the duration of our stay. We found this quite unsanitary. We complained but nothing was done. When they finally decided to give us fresh towels on our last day, they were going to charge us a delivery fee. We said forget it and made do.
