Host & Stay - Abbey Court Apartment

The location was prefect.

The amount of stairs we had to climb. We were left 1 toilet roll even though staying for 4 nights. The double bed was hard on one side and completely soft on the other...you actually rolled down it. One of the single beds rocked. The sofa was a very old one that had pillows under it to keep the top part up. We asked could we have an early check in but we're told no due to the high standard of cleaning that went on.....very shocked by this due to the level of cleaning that was actually done.

No breakfast was provided, but we visited a lovely cafe on the harbor.

The stairwells up the apartment 8 was a little grubby and could do with updating.

The location was great, very close to most things, the apartment was ok and had a good kitchen area etc. it had everything you needed for a short stay. There was a free parking permit for street parking close to the apartment which was very handy.

We found that the sink and shower were very blocked in the bathroom, the staff were unresponsive when contacted no response received. We ended up clearing the problem ourselves. The bed could do with replacing as one side was uncomfortable to sleep on. There was half frozen food left on top of the bin in the kitchen going off. We weren't very happy about having to pay £250 deposit with a £10 admin fee attached. When you leave they take up to 14 days to return deposit minus the £10. This was a first for us.

Host forgot to leave parking voucher, but didn't really matter as were no spaces available near appartment anyway as was very busy...managed to park at seafront...few min walk away...£10.80 for 24 hours...price for apartment was way too much in my opinion for short stay(4pm sat- 10am sunday)but partner wanted apartment rather than b&b so you pay the going rate i suppose...other than that.. was nice and clean and good location with all the facilities you need for a short stay

The front of the building looks tatty, cigarette ends on the pavement and all over the driveway. Initially thoughts grotty. Inside entrance way again untidy, dirty tired looking. Balconies need sweeping and tidying, old dead plant pots need removing, cigarette ends removing. The £25 breakages fee a con and constant reminders about leaving dates and checking out times need to stop!
