New Oxford House Apartments By Happy Days

Huge apartment & very clean. Our original one was not available due to problems with the previous tenants so put in this one which was much bigger. 3 bedrooms so me & my sons had a room each. Nice comfy beds & great living area. Great position too.

Was very hot in the property but the weather was boiling out. There were 2 bathrooms & one was an en-suite. They both had a really bad odour, of drains & sewage, it was quite unbearable. The main bathroom the smell slightly subsided after use & a bit of spray. The en-suite was unusable & kept the door shut otherwise stunk the room. As we were only there 2 nights & just the 3 of us we used just the one. But it sleeps 16 & that would be hard.

Location was brilliant, right in the city centre and within walking distance of everything. Was clean and comfortable, easy to access and a Tesco express next door which was really handy for picking up few bits for the apartment.

It was extremely hot when we were there and there is no air con in the property only a small fan and the windows don’t open in the kitchen/sitting room so was extremely warm in the apartment, even with the fan going. For the security deposit be aware if you are paying by card at their offices you have to have your physical card as you have to type in the number and if using Revolut it can take up to 30 days for it to be returned.

The location was perfect, close to everything but also quiet. It was spacious and the couch was very comfortable. Nice balcony too!

The Wi-Fi was very hit and miss - worked sometimes. Also, 2 of the beds were comfortable but 1 of them was so flat you could feel every spring. Ended up sleeping on the couch instead.

Property was very good. The windows was very thin and on the first night we didn’t get any sleep because it was very noisy otherwise it would’ve been a 9 out of 10.
