The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water power was good (often not the case in older properties!). The gin and whisky lounge was a great touch!

For two people who travelled from abroad with two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage and who then had to get ready to attend a wedding, the room we were allocated was small and that made things difficult. We know that some of our friends had bigger rooms than us. Not the property's fault, but we attended at the tail end of a heatwave and, as there was no air-conditioning in the room, the room was very hot, with only a (largely ineffective) tabletop fan to try to cool the room

Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially when working under the pressure of exceptional heat and a private party Just felt a little disappointed with no access to the terrace. And a bit limited menu. The one issue which should be addressed was the mattress- it has seen better days, needs an upgrade. Breakfast staff very welcoming, and a good selection of food

The room was very spacious and comfortable

The room was a bit chilly and the ceiling was low for my husband. The water was not hot enough to run a comfortable bath which was a shame because the bath was roll top and looked inviting.

The place was very pretty, clean, tidy and a really pleasant environment. Although we didn't have time, it would be an excellent area to walk. It is very near Chartwell which we visited and enjoyed very much. It is also close to other tourist destinations.
