Casa Sula Bali

We stayed one night at Casa Sula with another couple while on a surf trip and it was such a great find. The villa was the perfect place to come back to after a long session in the water. The location worked really well for us, with quick access to the beach, its own private parking and plenty of good food and coffee nearby. We also loved having the pool to cool off in and hang out together in the evening. Everything felt smooth from check-in to check-out, and the host and housekeeper were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay again on our next surf trip.

Nous sommes partis de la maison pour aller faire du sport pendant que la femme de ménage nettoyait. Elle en a profité pour nous voler une bague et 200 €. Il faut faire très attention au personnel de cette villa, que je ne recommande vraiment pas. En plus de l’insécurité, la maison n’est pas du tout entretenue : elle est délabrée et sale.

We had such a lovely stay at Casa Sula. The location is one of the best parts — it’s an easy walk to the beach, and there are so many great cafés and restaurants nearby. The whole area has a really nice, relaxed feel while still being close to everything. The villa itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very peaceful. We loved starting our mornings with coffee by the pool and coming back in the afternoons to cool off and relax. It feels private and calm, which made it perfect for switching off. Everything was clean, well looked after, and exactly as pictured. The host and housekeeper were both friendly and helpful, and communication was easy throughout our stay. It was the perfect place for a couple’s getaway and we’d definitely stay here again.

The property is visually stunning. I enjoyed the indoor outdoor vibe very much and it’s in a good location. Most beaches are local and are not far. The pool was enjoyable and the staff and cleaning was good.

We found it very difficult to get comfy in the open areas. Although the furniture is beautiful, it isn’t comfy to lounge on. Our water constantly cut off during our stay. Luckily the maintenance guy showed me how to fix it the first time so I didn’t have to wait for him to come on every occasion. The gym is very very loud during 5-7 am every morning which was unpleasant. During the day the sound of construction next to you is all you can hear which was also unpleasant. When we booked this villa it says “breakfast included” however we were only given breakfast for 1 day, i think the description should be amended to reflect was is given especially for people with family.

Very aesthetic looking villa

The cleanliness of the villa was below standard. There were ants throughout the bathroom, crawling around the sink, walls, and shower drain was blocked. On the second night, the water stopped working and wasn’t restored for around 12 hours so none of us could shower. In addition, the air-conditioning in our bedroom was ineffective, making the room uncomfortably hot. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our stay and expected a much higher standard.
