The Van Zant House

I would not recommend it. Very dirty, like not cleaned for a long time.

It was a great experience for my children and I bc this house was / used to be my family home…. My great grandparents home where my grandfather and other family members grew up and we had lots of family holidays!! It was wonderful to share that with my own children! Thank you!!

There was nothing to like about the property.

1. The neighborhood was creepy 2. Poor outside lighting despite informing host we would be arriving late in the evening. 3. There were no/few necessities. No toilet paper, less than half roll of paper towels, 3 small bath towels, one hand towel. No extra sheets/pillows or blankets. 4. The facility itself was filthy. The wall ac/heat unit could not be used because it was too moldy/ dusty. The kitchenware was broken and dirty. 5. The sheets and mattress covers were dirty. 6. There was dirt/ dust/ grime everywhere. 7. The furniture was decrepit and filthy. 8. Just basically said we were lying. When informed we had checked out early, he continued to hassle me about canceling the remainder of our reservation. 9. I went through booking to cancel and file report. He stated that he had not heard from booking ( I was on the phone when they attempted to contact him) and that I had never sent him photos of the issues. Which I did. 20. although his reviews here were fine, the ones on air bnb are not. The attached photos are just a few of the dozens I have of the filth that this host claimed was ‘ perfectly fine when he was there the day before’ For future bookings I will check a property/host ratings across sites.

We loved staying in the van zant house. The history is everything. It was clean enough. It is now more of a party house than a family home. All and all a good experience

We saw a few roaches. Left our bags in the car so I didn't take home any unwanted passengers Also the tv didn't work.

This Property is seem racist to me and its very dirty and it needs upgrading i will not be back!
