The Westerner - Extended Stay

I had a disappointing stay at this hotel due to several issues. The check-in process was unprofessional, with staff ignoring us and complaining about other guests. The pool hours were misrepresented, and the rooms didn't match what was advertised—they smelled unpleasant and were missing amenities like a remote control and HDMI cord to watch TV. The internet didn't work, preventing TV use. Despite being told we couldn't stay in the lobby, we were woken up by loud noise from people there between 2 and 5 AM. Additionally, a front desk employee threatened to call the police on my children for no reason after confronting the lady at the front desk about it she apologized and said she thought they were the other guest which is very unprofessional to assume without asking.

We stayed one night - a staycation to let the boys swim! There was a movie night and all the staff was so sweet and nice to the kids! The front staff was amazing! So helpful

Overall place is nice. Loved all the activities for kids. And loved the indoor pool. After entering room tv did not work. We did call to complain to front desk. Young lady came up tried to fix it. Searched for channels and after the attempt tv still did not work. Called again no service was provided. Room service was not offered either. We removed all items off beds, and put all dirty towels together to be picked up and replaced. Came back to a dirty room with no clean towels. We had to walk down to front desk to ask for more, where we were told they would be brought up, which never happened. We had to walk back down and ask again. I would be back for my kids sake. Just wanted to put this out there so it doesn’t happen again.

Indoor heated swimming pool was nice as well as the sitting areas around it. The rooms looked nothing like the picture posted on the website. We got an older room which the paint was peeling off in the bathroom as well as the decor and carpet was outdated and needed replacing. The whole complex is a square indoors with two elevators in the middle (one on each side). The elevator on our side was out of service, so we would have to walk all the way around to the other side to be able to use it. We would either use the stairs which were located at the front of the building towards the check in/out desk or to the back of the building. The free breakfast was nothing to write home about (hey, it's free) which consisted of waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc. You have to pay $7 extra for hot breakfast like eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc. We stayed from Sunday to Saturday and the room was only serviced once which was on Friday after 3 requests were made during the week. The staff was very nice and it looked like they were renovating the place. Overall, it was an okay stay but it could have been better. The place has promise once they finish renovating it.

Breakfast was not free, only coffee and waffle were available for no charge, hotel is in process of renovating however seems that is just a lot of paint put over old paint.

The rooms are great with okay mattresses. Staff is friendly and excellent. To enter the property, it is confusing. There is a bar/dance hall at entrance, so cars are filling the lot for that event, keeping the entrance obscure and without parking for overnight guests. We couldn’t enter the building on the backside where we had to park, and we had to drag suitcases all the way around the building. The outside area is dirty and uninviting around the building. It looks like the renovation of the updated hotel has not begun in the back.

Room was disgusting, dirty floor, wallpaper falling off, cracked ceiling in the shower.

Property under reconstruction. Pictures of the room I selected do not accurately reflect what I was given. Front desk says I booked a regular room. Nowhere online does it show picture of the old/dated room I was given. There was a huge dart tournament in all the common areas and pool was closed.
