The Westerner - Extended Stay

As with other reviews you’ll find for this stay, the rooms are not at all what’s shown. I’m not even quite sure how they get away with doing that…instead of a nice remodeled room (which must be few and far between) we got an old motel room. None of which are pictured on the actual booking. Old furniture and sad upgrades. Beds and pillows were rough. Not worth it at all..you’re better off at another place. We didn’t take the reviews seriously but you should!!! Don’t book here.

Enjoyed the stay

The pictures were n the website are very misleading. The rooms are rundown and outdated. The light constantly flickered off and on, the tv remote didn’t have batteries, the room did not have a phone, the bathroom wasn’t visibly clean, the table was scratched up and not clean, the chairs had stains, the carpet was fraying and pulling away from the bathroom floor, there was paint missing from the walls and a black “X” spray painted on the carpet floor. It definitely gave off the “no-tell motel” vibes. The reservation also said 2 queen beds and they were doubles.

Just an overnight stay. Clean rooms nice open area. Carpet needs replacing. Almost tripped a few times. They need some repair to keep guests safe.

This hotel has a central atrium with various things going on. There was a wedding on the night we stayed. The rooms were modern and spacious, we booked a superior room, and I can't comment on the standard rooms. It was spotless and the noise was minimal from the central atrium. It was quite noisy from the road outside, so light sleepers beware. The complimentary breakfast was ok. What we really liked was the country and western bar attached to the hotel. We got a taxi to the The Big Texan for dinner which cost $8 each way. Really enjoyed our stay here. Also a big shout out to the reception staff who helped us when the laundry stole our money.

Cute and quiet.

The room was absolutely horrid! The smell of wet dog as soon as you open your room door was atrocious. The overall hotel was okay, but the room was horrible. First the smell, then a patch on the wall that had been fixed but not painted on, the a/c didn’t work good, had the a/c set to 68 and the room would not get cool, even turned the a/c down to 64 and still did not get cold. The bathroom had mold and water/air in the wall, you could push on the wall and it would push back. I WOULD NEVER EVER CONSIDER STAYING HERE AGAIN. I will say though the staff was very pleasent.

Second time staying at the facility. It is in a convenient location. Awesome amenities including an indoor pool, goldfish pond and games. Very modern decorations. You can tell it was once an older hotel but the facility has done a good job of updating and continues daily to upgrade. Cute boutiques inside of hotel along with snacks and drinks. While there the facility had a luau party. We didn’t attend but seemed fun! Staff was all excellent as well. They even provide airport shuttle which was very convenient when my flight got cancelled!

The room smelled bad and it didn’t look like the pictures online. Parking was limited. Breakfast started at 7 not 6.

Doors on rooms,no card to look for! Remember code! That was different. Rooms were spacious and clean. Gift shop,bar/club/restaurant and live music. Breakfast area was big,plenty of room,they even had a cook to make breakfast and it was within reasonable price. Waffle mix a little bit runnie.but it was good. The only thing that i really didn't like was the shower curtain, water everywhere after getting out.
