The Westerner - Extended Stay

Absolutely loved our stay!! Love the theme of the place super friendly staff!! Also have fresh cookies at the front desk I definitely recommend trying some! They were super friendly with any questions the pool was a bit to over chemicaled but over all I would come back for another stay if I found myself in Amarillo and would definitely recommend absolutely loved the theme and layout!!

I stayed here while traveling, it was my last night of rest for my 5,000 mile road trip. This was such a comfortable place to stay!!! I’d stay here again, I wish I had more time to explore the amenities of the property! Next time :)

I love a hotel with a enclosed common space in the middle of all the rooms. It was very aesthetic. They have breakfast. It was ok. I would not pay for the "hot breakfast". It was not hot. The rooms were kind of updated. The bathrooms were not updated. Clean beds. Kinda noisy with the common space echoing. We only stayed for one night. .

The pictures on this listing are not what you should expect. It looks like they are trying to make it better, but current state it is severely run down.

When you walk in the place looks impressive. The rooms weren't at all what was advertised. The room felt muggy and the smell was horrible.

Great amenities for families.

Where do I start. We asked for a none smoking room, when we got to the room it smelled like a chain smoker lived in there for a few years. Furniture was old, the room was so dirty, they painted over mold, it was super hot until around 11pm, rust everywhere, the floor in front of the ac was soaked wet, the refrigerator started to cool the items in it when we were about to check out the next day. No phone in the room to call the front desk, mold on the tub, the advertised “included with your stay breakfast” was a lie. You have to pay $6.99 for each item on a menu they have. All you get for free is water down pancake mix, cereal, water down coffee and bread. It’s so disappointing because the pictures looked so nice. This review is not so much coming from an upset place but, from it’s a beautiful property, take care of it. Water your plants, actually remodel, fix what’s broken and this place turns in to the best place to stay at when in Amarillo, They do have a very small miniature golf, a “game room” and a pool it’s right off the highway, plenty of parking spaces. I am sure we won’t be staying again. It’s just very rub down- it won’t let me upload all the pictures I took. I will try to do it on Google.

Overall really nice hotel..indoor pool and different activities…it is going through some renovations so it was not a top notch situation however I believe once it is all completed it will be a 5 star hotel with a 3 star price. Great gem in Amarillo!!!

Loved what they're trying to do here. Great for families and even teenagers. Facilities shut down a little early but with them being in the center of the hotel, I get it. Rooms are cute and clean and comfy. They're working hard on the remodel. Breakfast was great. Staff was what made it. They work their tails off nonstop! Front desk to service staff, it's go time for all of them. Really impressed.

With the remodel in full swing, the rooms are limited right now so that poses an issue if you're getting more than one room and need them close together. The back doors don't work so it's a pain getting parked and getting back in. The code system of getting in the room is a bit of a nightmare. I see what they're going for, but it was an issue for our stay.

I would not stay here for a bowl of piss jack daniels! Like the big Texan this place is cheap! Ur rooms are not remolded u will get sued for false advertising! The restaurant food was disgusting if u like ur hamburger with a lighter fluid taste this restaurant is fot u! The motel bed was hard noisy air conditioning sucked never again!
