Grand Residences

Nice apartment close to old town and harbour. The pool area is great. Friendly and helpful hosts.

We had our stay at grand residences from the 10th to the 17th of June, and we received what was some of the best service we have ever gotten at any hotel/resort/house! Ino was so incredibly helpful during the week, she was at our disposal constantly when asking for restaurant recommendations, excursions and any things in the house etc - she even came and welcomed us with food and drinks upon arrival! Nothing was too much to ask for Ino. The house itself was very nice and modern, very clean and enough TVs, bathrooms, showers, toilets etc for 8 people. The private pool (shared with the other house) was also such a bonus, as we could cool off whenever we wanted during the heatwave. The location of the house - in the middle of the old town - was perfect too. The port was a small 10 minutes walking, supermarket was around the corner, and the house was surrounded with shops such as H&M and Sephora. Antonis also helped us arrange transport to and from the airport, which was very good as well. We got picked up in a very luxury mini bus which was a nice start to our stay :) The room downstairs is HUGE, with a massive TV and two beds - especially this room could use a cupboard as there is so much space. Overall we had such a pleasant stay, and I cannot recommend Grand Residences enough - mostly due to the service we received, its location, and how beautiful the house was. We will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you to Ino and Antonis for the pleasant experience.

The house itself did miss a few things in our opinion. We stayed with 7 people, and there were only 6 comfortable beds - the sofa bed wasn’t ideal, not very big. Not a huge deal, as sofas tend to be less comfortable regardless. Additionally, if you wish to cook, keep in mind that the kitchen isn’t very equipped; there is one small pull out stove and a pot, only 1 moderately sharp knife, no dishwasher. These things did not bother us too much though, despite cooking several times during the week. What did bother us more is the small fridge. It fit almost nothing and led to us having to throw out quite a lot of food during the week, something which none of us do at home. The fridge fit at most 6 - 7 items, really tiny. So if you’re looking to cook many times in the week, it isn’t the most ideal, but we made it work. There is also a separate drinks fridge, but this one wasn’t cold enough. However, when I raised this to Ino, she did her best to try and fix it immediately. The rooms also miss some cupboards to store clothes in our opinion, there is a small ledge in the two bedrooms and some hangers, but the majority of us had to take clothes out of our suitcases the whole week. Again, not a huge deal, but it could transform the house from extremely good to perfect!

The apartment was very beautiful and spacious. A short distance from the apartment to everywhere. We loved the swimming pool. It was surprisingly big and the patio cozy. The swimming pool was shared with another apartment.

Minus the too small refrigerator for seven people. Stairs are dangerous for small children.

Wow, amazing property and absolutely beautiful hosts. Antonis and Ino were so helpful from the time I booked the property. They could not do enough for us! They greeted us on arrival and were always available. Breakfast was included from the cafe across the road, with coffee, juice, pasties, baguettes and croissants every day. The property was absolutely amazing with a shared swimming pool and was so close to all of Chania town with restaurants, the harbour, a couple of beaches all within walking distance. I cannot rate this property and the beautiful hosts highly enough. Ino even brought us breakfast the night before our very early morning flight out. This was our first visit to Chania and honestly we had the most amazing experience and if you get the chance do not hesitate to book here!

Absolutely nothing!

Fantastic welcome from the property owner lady, she was so friendly and helpful, even taking the kids next door for an ice-cream for us all. Property is stylish, modern and well kept. Lots of space, comfortable beds & everything you need such as kitchen roll, tea towels, washing up liquid etc. which was appreciated. The pool was a wonderful surprise as looked a bit smaller on the photos online, our 2 boys loved playing in the pool and even better the water fresh and not freezing! Location was another highlight, right in the middle of the main town near shops, restaurants etc. with just a short walk to the harbour and old town area. Breakfast was plentiful, supplied by the busy bakery across the street, we took it away to eat on our patio. Parking is just a street away.

Would be useful to have some kind of blackout blind in the bedrooms which I think other reviewers have mentioned.

This is the absolute best value apartment I've ever stayed in. Absolutely huge, the pool is so much bigger than it appears on the photos, the decor and details are exceptional, air conditioning, electric blinds, 3 stories, the biggest TV I have ever seen in the basement room. The hosts were warm and left free wine and chocolate on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. They provided a number of exceptional recommendations. Even the free breakfast from the cafe over the road was great. In terms of location it's perfect, just outside the old town (2 mins away) you have great shops and restaurants on your doorstep and the old town and harbour are 5-10 mins away.
