"Great Hotel and beautiful surroundings on the River Test"

The hotel staff were great , clearly know the value of working as a team , great respect for each other which filters through to how guests are treated . Penny who cleaned our room is a star , Nicky and the restaurant team were brilliant and Dave the chef a genius ! Well done Lewis we will be back

"Lovely accommodation, great service and great food."

Excellent breakfasts and the food all round was very good. Lewis and his team were very attentive to my needs and everything was just right. The service, accomodation and location were great, I will definately stay there again.

I dont have any thing negative to say.

"Excellent but a slight niggle with the room door"

Clean, quiet location and very friendly staff

The doors to the rooms wobbled in the frames. Any waft of air and the door rattled. We had to push something up against the door to stop it from keeping us awake.

Comfortable room and good food - was just what we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful and took time out from a busy meal service in the restaurant to show us to our room. Restaurant food was good, both for dinner and breakfast.

Room needed some maintenance; shower drain was blocked, draining too slowly, and the venetian blind cord had snapped, so it couldn't be opened fully. The trickle vent in the window is broken, so draughty. Smoke detector battery warning light flashing. Minor issues really - don't let that stop you!

Accommodation Peaceful Nice food Nice location

Hard to get a taxi TV had to sign in or create an account for every app. Bath and toilet got a bit blocked. Let staff know, said they would deal with it but it didn't happen whilst we were there. They were usable though.
