Orchid House Baja & Beach Club

Pros: quiet boutique hotel, swimmable beach, spacious suite, free parking Cons: - This was not a 5 star hotel - service was cold and at times it felt like we were annoying the staff if we asked for breakfast or any general questions. When we checked out, instead of asking how our stay was, the front desk clerk told us to wait while they did a security and housekeeping check on our room - I’ve never experienced this and it was an annoying inconvenience. - We had an ocean view suite for $480/night and several things were broken in the room - the steam shower, the ceiling fan, and the ac unit in the bedroom (they had a wall unit in the living room area but it wasn’t powerful enough to sufficiently cool the bedroom on the other side, which meant we had to sleep in a warm room (temps were 74-99). No apologies or offers to make it right, just a text reply to confirm that yes these items are broken. The toilet flush panel broke as well but at least they fixed this. Overall it seems that they’ve let things go over the years. - Beach club was an exaggeration - they had about 8 teepees and it was open to the public as well. Luckily we were there during a quiet week, but I imagine these would fill up quickly during busy season. - No shaded seating by the pool - Included breakfast was a bit of fruit, tiny store-bought stale muffins and a small scoop of yogurt with a teaspoon of granola. We had a car so didn’t spend all day there, but they need to make service and amenity improvements.

incredible hotel, the service, the facilities, cleanliness, I have been to La Paz several times and it has been the best stay

Staff was overall polite. Property was underwhelming!

We splurged and booked the presidential suite, it was absolutely gorgeous with incredible panoramic views, it was clean and comfortable. However, apart from that, it’s hard to imagine the staff managing to make our experience worse. The service was slow and we were continuously made to feel like we were an inconvenience to them. I could go into detail on every interaction but there were too many to get into, our friend who was also staying had an identical experience. It was hard to understand, because the place was spectacular but everything just made us feel unwelcome.

The service is terrible

Es dificil escoger un Hotel en la paz. Tines distintas opciones según la ubicación que prefieras. Creo que esta fue una opcion perfecta si quieres desconectar y huir de la vida nocturna que hay ahora en el Malecon. Estuvimos ahi la Primera noche y se oia fiesta y gente todo el Tpo. Aca estas mas lejos pero en Paz. Tienes vista y acceso directo al mar. Una linda alberca y distintas areas para descanzar y comer. Las camas son excelentes. La TV incluye Netflix y la comida es muy rica. Es limpio y el servicio es excelente. Que mas necesitas? :)

El hotel es una belleza, la comida deliciosa, el trato que te dan es excepcional, es un hotel en el que jamás tienes dificultades para encontrar un buen camastro, una mesa bien ubicada para comer con vistas espectaculares, muy satisfechos

Orchid House es una propiedad muy bonita , todas las personas que trabajan ahi son muy amables ! pasamos unos dias muy relajados ! lo recomiendo muchisimo .

Beautiful property.

Beautiful location and overall property. Very friendly and helpful staff. A few issues with booking outside travel and rides. Shower head and bathroom electrical outlets were an issue but overall a beautiful stay.
