City Inn

The hotel doesn't have a manned reception however they kept in touch and ensured someone was there on my arrival to let me in. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great for stepping out the door and exploring Alfama, and only about 7-8 min walk from main tourist/restaurant area and where tours leave from. Being female traveling alone I was a little concerned about some earlier comments about this area being unsafe however I had no problems. During the day there's plenty of nice locals and tourists about. I tended to get out and about early, and have early dinner so wasn't out on street late.

One day someone had gone out and not ensured the street door had closed behind them. This could pose a risk as elevator is open to floors. It may be good to put a sign on door reminding guests to close door properly.

Nothing, the staff was horrible thd price was high and the property was bad. Neibourhood was horrible

The staff was unfreindly and mean to us. Price was high, hotel was bad, neighborhood was bad. This place really shouldn't be listed on booking.

Good price, a good option for those looking to save some money. Air conditioning worked. Location was close to a lot of good sights in the city, the metro and restaurants.

The door was left open after a cleaning one day, nothing was taken thankfully, but concerning and more care should have been taken. Location is not in the nicest area of town, I did not experience anything unsafe or concerning, but locals assured me that the area is known for some non-violent crime (pickpocketing, etc.)

The staff were very helpful. My room needed some minor repairs, and they were carried out the same day I reported them. There is no staffed reception but the front door is very secure. There is a metro station less than 5 minutes away.

The hot water was only tepid. No drink-making facilities in the room. For a room-only basis I thought the price was slightly high.
