It was super clean and the room was also very quiet (we had a room that didn’t face the street)

It’s super overpriced for the size of the room, but I guess that’s also Lisbon. Also, I had asked for an extra towel in the morning and the manager sent someone at midnight when we were already sleeping. I don’t know which hotel sends towels at midnight, that was not nice.

This could have been a nice stay, the room was ok and very clean, but in all Alfama the location was the worse. Moniz square is taken by immigrants. They are in the hundreds, sleep there. Unsafe.

Very centrally located in Lisbon with great connection to public transport. Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, especially for the price. Lots of wholesale shops in the area as a result you see hardworking migrant population which makes the area very vibrant, but socioeconomic struggles are also visible. All in all an excellent place from which to explore Lisboa

Great service all round. Affordable and centrally located.

City Inn was a delightful surprise, recently renovated, very clean, with help that went above and beyond. We would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for good value and good location. The on-site manager was available and eager to help out. The accommodations were small; however, we were there to tour not stay in our room. The room was very clean and tidied every day. The City Inn had an elevator which can be hard to find in the old buildings. The neighborhood was quiet at night. The location was a very short walk from Plaza Figueria and not far from Plaza Rossio; the restaurants and shopping were very near. There was a delightful cafe just around the corner with a good breakfast and excellent coffee. So many other Portuguese restaurants were within easy walking distance with exceptional food and really good wine and beer. The Portuguese people were very friendly and helpful. Just try to speak their language and they go out of their way to help you. We had a wonderful experience.

There was an elevator issue but that was fixed quickly. The room could have been bigger, but there is nothing they could do about that. You may raise your eyebrows at the neighborhood - it is not in the center of the tourist area. We are both in our mid-70s and never felt uncomfortable or out of place. We found the person on the sidewalks pleasant at all times.

It was OK.

1) there was a running cockroach in the hall. 2) Cleaning lady is not the best one: once she has forgotten to clean our bathroom, the other day she put away our things making a big pile of them and never laid them back and so on. 3) the hotel is located in area where all Moroccans live, so we were not feeling very safe being outside after 20.00 pm
