Bird Island Bungalows

I couldn’t say enough good things about this property as well as staff. I have never felt so close to home despite being so far away. Each member made us feel seen, important and valued. We left feeling like we made friends for a lifetime, if not family. For us it’s not a matter of if we will come back it’s when. This place is special and you’re genuinely missing out by not stopping in.

Wonderful people, Gabi, Federico, and everyone else! Even though it is a hotel-like place, they made me feel very welcome. The nature is amazing. You must visit the lagoon beach. And I recommend to see the entire island as well. Starfish beach is nearby if you take the shuttle or motorcycle. P.S. a useful hint - you can rent a motorcycle and get to the bungalows, no one tried it before apparently, but it is not so bad. It will save you some money if you plan to see the island.

It is a bit pricey, European price standards. And there are no options to eat or drink anywhere else if you don't have your own transport (see my motorcycle suggestion). So that can be a bit limiting, and the reason why location and value I rated lower. Everything else was perfect.

We had an excellent time at Bird Island Bungalows. From the moment we arrived we were able to disconnect and just be present at this beautiful property. The staff were very attentive and friendly and always looking after us. The views are spectacular whether enjoying them from the deck, the pool or one of the two private beaches. Breakfast was well served and delicious. I'd highly recommend the granola. All in all we had a very relaxing time at Bird Island Bungalows and we sad to leave but we'll certainly be back some day soon!

This locale is not for everyone. You are in the jungle and off the grid 100%. The road to enter is a 20 min dirt road. That said we had a spectacular time. The location is so beautiful!! The staff are genuine, friendly and so helpful. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful a great view of the Oceqm and the Jungel around us. The staff were very helpful to arrange excursions. The pool delightful, the lookout a great vantage point. One reminder, maybe pack a light blanket. It can get cool at night and you have a one sheet and a single light throw in the room. We made due with our towels for extra layers. So happy we ventured to this true island paradise.

Amazing places with a lot of free services. You can see animals toucans, perrezosos. And the view is amazing so is the food !

Maybe it’s a bit expensive 5$ per person to go to Bocas del drago maybe it could be a fixed prices and we could share the total with other and the staff could arrange to group people if they want

The staff is fantastic, from the driver to the barkeeper and the receptionist all try to make the stay special. The remote location with the view straight to the wild ocean makes it a great place for a few peaceful days.
