Alpine Rock B&B

Jan and Jeff were wonderfully gracious and welcoming. The location was only minutes from town, far enough to wake to the sound of birds and sheep nearby. Breakfast was lovely. Our stay was too short. Our room was lively, with its bath en-suite.

What can I say. Our stay with Jan & Jeff was one of many highlights on our NZ adventure. They welcomed us like family & made us feel so comfortable. Taught us about NZ history & Fiordland & gave us plenty of tips on things to do, eat etc. The setting is beautiful & a short hop, skip & jump from town. So glad we went to Te Anau as it is the perfect spot to set off exploring Fiordland & of course, Milford Sound. Brekky was great (thanks Jeff) & loved the “boys” too, Eddie (the dog) & Frankie (the cat). Thanks so much guys, we will keep in touch (& hope to get back some day) Sally & Peter

Very helpful and pleasant owners. Very comfortable accommodation with indoor and outdoor spaces. Continental breakfast ideal. Would visit again and recommend to others.

What a fabulous location - just outside the town in a tranquil location. Our hosts really made us welcome in their house. We were served as guests at breakfast and treated like visiting family friends in the evening. I wish we could score more than 5/5

A fantastic place to stay - Jan and Jeff (hope i have spelled those right!) are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The accommodation is very comfortable, with a shared guest lounge and a lovely deck to sit out on. The hot tub was very welcome after active days in incredible Fiordland. Te Anau is less than 5 mins drive away, so very convenient. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back to this area one day!

Jan and Jeff were so hospitable and kind. We had 6am breakfast starts each day and Jeff cheerily got up to serve us. Hot tub was very welcome after two intense days of hiking and kayaking!

Great place to stay on a road trip around the South Island. Ideally located to enjoy all of what Fiordland offers. Jan and Jeff are ideal hosts and their Bed and Breakfast is such a relaxed and chilled environment. Te Anau is a five minute drive from Alpine Rock and offers numerous places to eat and enjoy for an evening.
