The heater didnt work good. Also loud. The floors were terribly cold. I booked an extra night but when i got up and walked that morning i started ferling sick and decided to go home. They werent busy or booked up. Very few customers were there. I left around 12 noon and called to let them know i had to ho home because i was sick. Although it was only 1 hour after check out they wouldnt refund my money. I wont stay there again and i do not recommend it. There were also spider webs above my bed.

The motel was clean and did not have the scent of an old motel!! The room is small. We had a room with two double beds and there was little room left. It had a frig, microwave, coffee pot. It did not have a hair dryer. I checked before we left home because I knew a lot of the older motels do not have them, so it was not a problem for me. We would probably stay here again.

This is not a five star hotel, no one is going to turn down your sheets and leave a littke chocolate on your pillow. But it is very close to Petit Jean State Park and all the possibilities it offers. Like 5 minutes close. From the price and pictures I wasn’t expecting more than a bed, a shower, and electricity. It was obviously older motel, circa 1960-1970. The listing doesn't include a refrigerator or microwave so i brought an ice chest. Yes, it is older but it is very well kept up, clean, fresh paint, extremely well taken care of. The people were friendly, there was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room (room 10) and #9 also had the same. I would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay if you're going to be in that area to enjoy the park but are too old to enjoy roughing it any more. The price was very good, definitely delivered more than what I expected.

"Too expensive for primitive room."

4.0

Our room was flooded when we arrived. The office staff (one man- very nice and apologetic) was gone when we tried to tell him only minutes after checking in. He moved us to a room that was okay, but said he would move us back to the "cottage". We said "no, thank you" because we did not want to unpack, pack, and unpack again. The refrigerator was nice. Towels were clean. Everything else is dirty, rustic, cheap. Price is WAY too high for such primitive accommodations. We were extremely uncomfortable because the room was hot and it had a window unit. The "cottage" has a window unit as well. A/C was VERY loud and hard to sleep. The swimming pool should have been open because it was 83 degrees and we were sweating after a short hike.

Property is dated but quaint. Had to wait a while to find the owners so we could check in. Phones went straight to voicemail. Other than that it’s a nice place.

"A very substandard experience!"

4.0

We arrived as exhausted travelers from California to a gloomy room with no T.V. reception (two remotes, no signal, and no instructions), and an outdated internet password on their welcome message. Some welcome. We knew in advance the office was closed from 7 P.M. to 9:00 a.m. with no one to assist us, but the absolute least management can do with no one minding the store is provide instructions for operating the remotes, and a current password. After a long day, and without access to MapQuest for our next journey, we just went to bed. Keep in mind, we are out in the middle of nowhere. When my husband went to the office the next day to say we were checking out, the employee gave him the latest password, but too late, we were on our way. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean with plenty of toiletries, and an above average shower. The location through the Petit Jean State Park is breathtakingly beautiful, and we will always have that to remember, the rest of the journey to our next destination, the lodge at Mt. Magazine State Park.
