At home Property

The property itself was good. Facilities were generally clean and had everything you needed. The location was great and everything is in walking distance. There is no parking included with the place, there’s free on street parking at certain times or the car park across the road is £4 for 24hrs. The heating was very good and the place warmed up well. There’s a kitchen with various utensils. Some reviews said the view was nice, it’s not bad but it just looks down into another block and buildings. Generally the place was fairly quiet the night we stayed.

The communication with the host was not good at all. I had messaged the day prior to ask about the keys and heard nothing back. I called at 12:30 on the day and was told they hadn’t replied as they normally contact at 13:00 so people don’t try and get in early and it’s not ready and leave a bad review but they could have at least replied to say I’d hear from them tomorrow. I heard nothing at 13:00 and had to message again at 14:50 when I was told from a different number from the one on booking.com someone was coming to drop off the keys. They were late so we couldn’t check in until 15:30. There was no hot water on arrival meaning we couldn’t shower before needing to go out. I text the host who apparently had no signal, so I called and got no answer on the 2 different numbers. I then received a call back and was told which button to press for hot water. This still didn’t work. We had to google and watch YouTube videos to finally get hot water at 00:30. To get to the controls for the water there was a bed frame in the way put into the cupboard so it was hard to even see it, it also slipped onto my foot whilst trying to work it. It was tied to something in the cupboard so couldn’t be moved. Although most things were clean when I attempted to run a bath before finding out the water was stone cold, I found 2 small black curly hairs in the water. There were also long black hairs on the floor towel and in the bed. When checking out, the shop we had to collect the keys from was shut until 09:00. Called both numbers again, 1 was off, the other no reply. I was then called back and asked to leave them in an atm across the street as there was people checking in later and no one would be around to get the keys. I would have assumed this was the hosts issue they needed to deal with, not mine, and that the cleaner would be attending anyway. We ended up leaving them in the post box for the flat. This was just unnecessary delay to us when we needed to leave early in the morning.

Good location, especially having the shop directly underneath, good facilities in the apartment. Nice decor, fresh and up to date and a wonderful view.

The bed mattress could really do with being updated, it seems quite old. The couch leather is beginning to peel, while the other one is very uncomfortable and the radiator could do with cleaning as there were some black marks on it that didn't look very hygienic. While I appreciate it's an apartment and not a hotel, I have stayed in many different places and it would've been nice to be able to have a hot drink on arrival but there was nothing available other than the kettle itself.

Great location, walking distance to AO Arena and shops was 10/15 mins. Clean, comfortable apartment with everything you need. Bargain stay!

Everything was lovely. Bit of a nightmare trying to find it but once we did ok. Had to contact owner regarding key but cleaner let us in so was much better than having to walk to the shop to collect it.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like & would recommend to my friends. Probably will return too.

The apartment was so clean, light and spacious. The view at night was gorgeous. Such a lovely apartment, it was equipped with everything we needed. The location is great and we will definitely be booking this place again.

Such a lovely apartment right in the city centre. Very clean and tidy and spacious. In walking distance to everything you could need. Lots of public car parks nearby also. Excellent communication from owner ensuring we had all the information we needed eg how to collect keys and how to find the apartment ect. I would definitely stay here again

Clean, spacious, great location, excellent facilities.

One of the sliding cupboards kept sliding open showing the boiler and was a mess inside, 2 x Ceiling light fittings had no shades, cushions kept malting leaving bits everywhere not a big deal but things that would definitely improve the appearance of the apartment.
