Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets - Adults Only - All Inclusive

We liked the location with nice sea views towards Cancun, sunsets and blue water. The rooms were nicely designed inside and clean. Hotel gave the option to hire a golf cart to see the island, we enjoyed the experience. Complimentary classes like pottery making also added a nice touch to the day.

The hotel is really on the lower end when it comes to the type of customer and the food/beverage offers for more conscious eaters. If you have dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free) be prepared for the staff to be totally confused. In several places we were asked to list our dietary requirements for them to then be ignored. You struggle to find anything gluten-free at breakfast. It is a myth that there is a lot of choice of restaurants as their opening days rotate. The waiting lounge for the catamaran transfer only offers fizzy drinks and alcohol. This attitude to beverages continues within the hotel - a cheap alcoholics paradise - but you cannot access any mineral water (i.e. water from a natural source), only purified water with a chemical taste. We asked the hotel to source mineral water for us which became a big ordeal. Initially we were told we can have a bottle of Evian for US$17, then the manager pushed backed saying that he's been to hotels without mineral water (we didn't care what hotels he's been to?). They were initially very reluctant but once a doctor was involved due to gastroenteritis, they finally provided us with some. Although not all the restaurant managers were aware which led to having to explain multiple times why we want mineral water. It is really a shame, could be a high-end hotel due to location, but instead attracts an odd crowd that probably heard about it through Instagram. Outside of the hotel, there is a lot of poverty and not a lot to see (half-day golf cart hire is enough).

I liked everything! 10/10 The welcoming, service, beautiful property, so many sweet peaceful quiet area to enjoy and relax. Great activities,/parties, loved their spa! great restaurants with accommodation based of their clients needs. Basically you don't want to leave the property for nothing else. Also their is no needs you have everything in place. I had a hard time leaving....can't wait to come again!

I had a minor..... problem with the shower but they promise they will take care of it. I wanted to stay for another night I was hoping to get a better rate but beside that really their is nothing to complain of.

This resort is unreal; it’s stunning everywhere you go. The staff is incredible. Alexander at Unik is the best server, he will take care of you and the chef Harvey is amazing the food was perfect. Viyani was our butler and she helped us with everything! Maria was the best server by the water, she never stopped checking on us in our own cabana. I highly recommend this resort!

Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets was honestly such a dream. The resort is gorgeous, modern, calm, super luxe, and spotless everywhere you go. And the views are unreal… waking up to that water and seeing it throughout the property never got old. And I cannot get over the rooms… OMG. The room was absolutely gorgeous and truly felt like luxury. I’m very particular about hotel rooms on vacation, and this one exceeded my expectations in every way. It was fully stocked, and having 24-hour in-room service made everything feel effortless and elevated. What really made the trip, though, was the service. Everyone was warm and attentive without being over-the-top, and it made the whole stay feel easy and relaxing. Huge shoutout to our butlers Wedinzon and Vianey, they were amazing. Thoughtful, responsive, and always one step ahead. They truly made our stay feel special. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful reset in a beautiful place, this is it. We left already talking about when we can come back.

We stayed at Impression Isla Mujeres for our honeymoon. To say it was an amazing experience would be a huge understatement. It is beautiful and luxurious there and the food is delicious but the best part is the service. EVERYONE there was so friendly. And so happy to do anything for us to make our stay amazing. And they were all so genuinely happy to help. Angel and David were our butlers and arranged anything and everything we wanted and needed for our stay. Monica met with us in the beginning and explained how everything worked such as reservations for tours, how to get around town if we left the resort, and more which was so so helpful. Adrian and the event team were great. The activities available were wonderful. We attended a cocktail making class and a candle making class among other things. We also went on the guided bike ride (which are electric-awesome!!) and the tour was beautiful and interesting thanks to our guide, Frankie. All of the servers around the beachside chairs and pools were so attentive and kind. Someone was always coming around checking on us making sure we had what we needed and getting it for us if we didn’t. As I mentioned before, the food was great. The variety of restaurants kept us from getting bored with the food even though we were there 9 days. Everything we had there was delicious. We also loved the 24hr coffee shop. The coffee, smoothies, and pastries were so good and the baristas there were so helpful. The outdoor activities were also so fun. My husband can’t sit still for long so he loved being able to kayak, snorkel, paddle board, and even take a little scuba diving lesson right there at the resort. Arnulfo, the scuba instructor, made my husbands scuba lesson an experience to remember by showing him wildlife and taking tons of photos and videos of him under the water for him to look back on. At the end of our stay, the checkout process was easy and seamless like everything else. Words just can’t describe how much we enjoyed our time here. We are already planning to come back.

What a wonderful stay we had with our family for the week! We visited over the Christmas holiday, and although the hotel occupancy was low, the level of staff attention was exceptional. We absolutely loved the private beach experience, especially the dock area with clamshell seating and umbrellas. Hermes down there was truly outstanding. Exploring the different pools throughout our stay was so much fun—each one offers stunning views and a unique atmosphere. We dined at all of the restaurants, and every one of them was superb—not just “good for an all-inclusive,” but genuinely excellent. Roman at the Unik bar and our bartender on the private catamaran cruise were fantastic. Salso and Fidelcio, our captain and crew member on the catamaran, were incredibly kind, attentive, and gracious. Before our arrival, I worked with Maria Esperanza Vidal Diaz and Cynthia, who were instrumental in helping us commit to our reservation. They truly embody hospitality, and I cannot thank them enough. Angel, our butler, was absolutely outstanding—professional, attentive, and thoughtful in every way. He even managed to get us into the Christmas dinner when we had initially been told it wasn’t possible. Cheers to you, Angel! Louis Escandon also deserves special mention for resolving a checkout issue and putting my mind completely at ease. Although we did experience a small issue with one of our activities—and I’m still awaiting follow-up from the GM—it ultimately worked out well. I genuinely hope people reading reviews can see past the negative ones, as many feel like personal grievances or exaggerations. Having now read them myself, I can honestly say they do not reflect our experience at all. Staff interactions often reflect what you bring with you. If you look for problems, you’ll find them—but if you come with appreciation and openness, this resort truly shines. Whether you call it Impressions, Secrets, or simply Hyatt, this is a truly special place. For those who travel often and enjoy high-end, unique destinations, this resort stands out—primarily because of the exceptional staff and the way guests are treated. We fully and enthusiastically recommend this hotel. Our family absolutely loved our stay.
