The Grant by Black Swan

On the first night of a two-night stay my son's bed collapsed into the bed frame while he was sleeping. It was very frightening and he could have been hurt. There was a dead roach outside the bedroom door as well. The response from the hotel was disappointing to say the least

My wife and I spent whole week in The Grant and had a great time. The apartment had everything we needed (pots, pans, coffee machine, microwave, washing machine... you name it). We like to eat our vegetables in the morning and to have some small snacks after night out, so we shopped in Kroger (20 minutes walk), not too bad! Due to the location (could not be better), there was some noise coming from the outside (our apartment was right above the street), but the bedroom was inside the apartment and we had no problem sleeping. I bet the apartments across the hall were quieter, but no big deal, really. We usually stay in B&B, and this was great for us. Would go back, definitely.

Layout

This place is awesome. The apartment that I stayed in was a whole vibe. The instructions for checking in are simple. The set up is very comfortable and modern…tastefully designed. The apt was super clean and in excellent condition. This place is a 10 out of 10 all around.

The apartment was super well equipped, amazingly located in the middle of the city center and very charming. All the instructions for entering and information needed were provided in a timely manner and the access was very easy.

The AC system was very loud and it was difficult to even switch it off. The halls of the house outside of the apartment smelled very bad but it didn't affect the apartment, luckily!

The inside of the property was really neat, staff was friendly and in a great location. I gave it 2 stars temporarily until my issue is resolved. There were guests or residents having excessive parties both Friday and Saturday after the bars closed from 230-5am. The floors and walls are thin and we could hear super loud music, stomping, drinking games, balls bouncing on the ground etc for hours on end. We barely slept the first 2 days of our trip and there isn’t enforcement of other guests. If you aim to rest on your trip, try a different property.

The noise from the street was a bit annoying (loud cars with loud sound systems), but not too terrible. The bed was small, but super comfy.

Entirely automated check-in/out. Communication through text/automated service. No baggage hold if later departure. A lot of style, lacking substance. Fixtures lacking, loose screws on floor. Aspects unfinished, unknown if recently rennovated. Internet spotty, most functional in great room. If working, recommend coffee house. No extra towels available, wash if you go through.

Location was good. Beds Comfy. Towels good. Minimalist

Rugs weren't vacuumed. Building has construction going on in it- 7:45 am on. Dumpsters were outside bedroom window- emptied! Lots of alleyway noise! The apt. unit is not completed in it's restoration.
