Nice cosy property and they decorated it a little for the Christmas period which was nice. Heating easy to operate, for me anyway.

A couple of cobwebs hang from celling. Hey that happens even at my house but when you pay to stay you expect that to be kept at bay.

Lovely & cosy - gorgeous Christmas decorations! Would love to stay again!

Needed more mugs - 2 wasn’t enough for 3 guests & we had to borrow one from family! It would’ve been good to have liquid soap & more toilet roll - but maybe we’re fussy!

"Lovely house in a village location"

The house was charming and well-located offering a great stay experience for the most part. The beds were super comfortable, great wi-fi and decor.

Parking can be tricky but manageable. Essential items should be based on the length of stay and party number. For my 7 night stay for 4, there were only 2 mugs, 1 bin liner, 1 tea towel, 1 towel each and no toilet brush. I was able to source locally but shouldn't have had to. I did call the telephone number provided and was connected but after choosing the relevant option was cut off. There are two comfortable bedrooms but passing traffic can be heard from the street facing room. There was a lot of dust in several areas, particularly on surfaces and in corners, which slightly detracted from the overall comfort and presentation. A deeper cleaning and appropriate essential items would make this house perfect for future guests.

Very clean and tidy, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms.

Coffee was mouldy, no oven gloves. WiFi details incorrect on sign in living room. No added human touch, previous stays at similar cost and style venues provided bread, milk & other niceties. Coffee maker (Nespresso or similar) would be great addition. Bit picky I know but other similar venues at that price offer those.

"Lovely house ideally situated for using as a base for exploring the area. Would recommend."

The house is very tastefully decorated with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. It is difficult to park outside the door, but you can easily park outside the Spar shop just a short distance. Hurworth is a lovely village with 2 pubs and a cafe. There is also a very nice Italian restaurant at the far end of the village which I would recommend and is within walking distance of the house. Good value too.
