DYSA Bentinck House

Plenty of space for our family of nine (four generations aged 3 years old to 80). Smelt clean and fresh upon our arrival. Easy parking on the driveway for 2 cars, plus extra on street parking available. Lovely quiet location away from the bustle of the town. Approximately 20 to 30 minute walk to the South Peer / Pleasure Beach, depending on how quick you walk (we had a 3 year old with us, so quite slow!). Some local shops nearby. We ordered a Chinese takeaway the first evening, from a menu that had been left in the house, which we all enjoyed.

The property description included a dishwasher, however there isn’t one. Cooking meals for 9 of us created quite a lot of washing up! The back yard could do with some attention. A bit of weeding, and maybe update the rusty garden furniture.

Spacious 4 bedroom house within 10 minutes walk to Starr gate for the tram to blackpool. Excellent facilities with everything in good working order. Small problem with a flashing spotlight in kitchen but fixed on the same day with a phone call. overall a good place to stay.

The property was pleasant and large, with a dining table that easily fit 7 adults comfortably. Same with 3 large sofas in the lounge. Ample room in the bedrooms, especially ours which had ensuite. Beach and tram stops within walking distance,and supermarkets within 5 minutes drive. We had a pleasant stay and wouldn't hesitate to book on our return to the area.

Nothing we didn't like as such, but would say whilst there's a washing machine there's no dryer, or pegs if able to hang laundry. A shelf in the top bedroom ensuite would be useful. Another set of keys would have been handy should someone forget to leave them in the lockbox.

Great location and plenty of space for our group. We've stayed before and I'm sure we'll book again.

Stairs are horrendously noisy. There were no baking trays or decent knives in the kitchen.

Location and cleanliness

Very creaky staircase and thin walls. Every movement and voice could be heard from any room. Window in one of the king rooms would not close

We loved the house, there was plenty of room to move around and we didn't feel like we were in each others way, we all slept well as the beds were very comfortable. 3 bathrooms helped as there was 10 women there. Location was perfect.

Not much to dislike.

The fire alarm or CO2 alarm kept going off

perfect location, big house there where 10 of us and no one left on top of each other at any point

some of the drinking glasses are chipped around the edge not sure if anyone’s aware of that.

Quite a long walk into town

It was partly my fault as I hadn’t realised I had to pay extra just in case anything was broken. When I came to the property whilst I paid the money on the journey I was told I would be sent the key details straight away. When I phoned the office had closed and we had no way of getting in. We had to phone the number for emergency repairs.
