"Relaxing Stay"

10.0

My wife and I spent four nights here in the Orchard Room. We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular view of Mount Hood from the private porch and watching the sheep and chickens. John and Deana were gracious hosts. While we used this as a base for exploration, it was also excellent for relaxing with a book on the porch. The breakfasts were wonderful.

"Peaceful and beautiful "

10.0

A wonderful retreat or peaceful place to use as your base whilst you explore the area. They offer a chance to feed the chickens, move the sheep, walk through their vast pear orchard or simply sit on the veranda and enjoy the views. The breakfast was included and was a gourmet delight. Local produce was included and cooked to perfection.

"Comfortable stay on lovely grounds w/ beautiful view of Mt. Hood"

10.0

My husband and I *thoroughly* enjoyed our stay at Sakura Ridge Lodge! We stayed in the Orchard Room, which has its own entrance and is separated from the other rooms for added privacy. It's a generous-sized room that is beautifully appointed with unique furnishings and decor that reflect the owner's excellent tastes and world travels. The king-sized bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely with a soaking tub, separate shower, and private toilet area. Very nice amenities and toiletries. Lots of windows and natural light (with blinds for privacy when needed). There is a balcony that overlooks the beautiful gardens and expansive grounds with stunning views of Mt. Hood in the distance. The main lodge is where the other rooms are located and where breakfast is served. I can’t speak for the other rooms, but the “common areas” are very welcoming including a kitchen area, porch and balconies that look out over the orchards and grounds. It was still early in the season (May) when were there so I can only imagine how much more beautiful the setting is when things are in full bloom! Overall, the property is clearly well maintained. The interiors were all very clean and well appointed. Keep in mind… o This is also a working farm. (I loved the charm of all the associated sights and sounds from the farm activity!) o The location is 15-mins ish from the town, but it’s a relaxing, pretty drive past other orchards, wineries and expansive lands. If you enjoy a unique, private bed & breakfast experience, you can’t go wrong with Sakura Ridge. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
