The place exceeded my expectations and the pictures truly do not do it justice. From the moment I walked through the entrance, I was amazed by the ambiance, uniqueness, and beautiful design of the property. The staff was incredibly welcoming and took the time to show me around while providing helpful information, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. I especially loved how relaxing the atmosphere felt, including the TV mounted on the ceiling. They also provided snacks in the room, along with a small refrigerator stocked with water and soda. I loved having both an espresso machine and a Keurig machine available as well. One of my favorite places to hang out was the terrace, which had a breathtaking view of the ocean. It was especially beautiful in the evenings watching the sunset while enjoying an espresso. The jacuzzi and peaceful atmosphere made it such a relaxing and memorable experience. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I loved that they served different meals each morning. Being able to sit outside, enjoy breakfast, and overlook the ocean made the experience even more special. Another thoughtful touch was the guest lounge/hangout room, which was stocked with complimentary snacks, water, coffee, tea, and an espresso machine. It made the stay feel extra welcoming and cozy. The location was also perfect since it was within walking distance to the Malecón, making it easy to explore and enjoy the waterfront. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would definitely come back again.

"Nice, quirky location that is definitely NOT worth its money"

5.0

This definitely was something “a little different”. The rooms were very quirky and very well equipped with everything you might need and exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The rooms themselves were super clean and the location was good (not perfectly central but close enough) and the views from the terrace are gorgeous.

It just came a little (or a lot) short on everything. While for about half the price I would have given this 10/10 on most things, but at the very premium price it just kept disappointing. Especially negative were: 1. The host. We made the horrific mistake of not calling 30 minutes prior to our arrival (we got distracted driving, too busy enjoying our holiday and the gorgeous scenery that we suddenly were there already and had forgotten to call). The host, who wasn’t prepared for our arrival was moody and unwelcoming. He then spent about half an hour explaining EVERYTHING (how to use the TV, how to use every Coffeemaker, how to dry the wood floor after showering and how to shut the door properly …yes, I’m a grown up, I think I can manage) when really we just wanted to be left alone to enjoy our room after a long trip. He then made very clear, that it was absolutely essential to advise him whether we’d be attending breakfast the night before. While I totally understand that no one wants to waste food, I do enjoy a tiny bit of flexibility on holiday. 2. The breakfast which left little choice, was highly monotonous, was served at constantly changing times and locations. 3. Everything aside from the room was a little messy. We failed to find clean glasses in the common room and the hot tub area and the hot tub was freezing. So, for the price, I’d have to say, definitely not worth it!

"The best stay in La Paz!!"

10.0

Breakfast was great every morning and the view was amazing. Very friendly staff from the owner, cook, and other helpers. We always felt cared for and we got great recommendations for dinner. All rooms have King size beds which is nice. It was a very relaxing stay, especially in the mornings and evenings with sunrise and sunset. Definitely stay here.

Wifi was very off and on. And I agree with the other review that blackout shades and softer pillows would perfect the stay.

Residence Las Flores was beautifully unique - the rooms are all named after the owner's family members, and have unique personalities. Ours was spacious and extremely comfortable. They had thought of everything - towels, water bottles, coffee machine, etc. The view for sunset and breakfast are unbeatable!

"Highly recommended"

7.0

We loved the location just back from the Malacon. The building itself was a fascinating treat designed and lived in by the owner. Our room and terrace with fabulous views and a sea breeze, was a delight to go back to after a long day adventuring in La Paz.

For me the breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was okay but for the money I would have preferred a bit more choice .

"Decepcionante"

1.0

"A quirky urban spot close to the Malecon."

8.0

This is a quirky spot that's not for everyone--a passion project of the Italian emigree Guisseppe who also lives here. Guisseppe built the place himself from salvaged materials, probably from factories and barns, and filled it with art. From the outside it almost looks like an overscaled favela house (lots of cinderblock) but inside feels more like a baronial villa. It is also EXTREMELY vertical involving lots of stairs to get up to the breakfast aerie where you have an amazing ocean view and might see a flock of wild parrots. Breakfast is delicious in what G calls "his paradise." His staff is great especially Estrella his savvy assistant. It's a two-block walk to the Malecon a delightful waterfront promenade that stretches for 8 kilometers. And about 6-8 blocks to the cathedral/art museum area, a hipster district with coffee shops, bakeries, cafes, etc. G also built the nearby Hotel de Flores and operates the excellent Italian seafood restaurant there.

Guisseppe can be a bit cranky but he warms up when you get to know him, as we did over a delightful breakfast with his family. The place is a bit pricey but you get a lot for it.
