absolutely beautiful private resort with amazing snorkelling

nothing to dislike and everything to love

You can't go past the reef being no more than ten meters from the beach! The house reef is spectacular with beautiful corals and fish galore. We also managed to find quite a few homes of clown fish and they were fun to watch from a distance. The water is so clear and very floaty! My partner normally sinks when snorkeling but was completely fine and was able to lol about on the reef for hours without getting tired. The accommodation was fantastic and we really enjoyed hermit crab spotting on the way to/from the restaurant. Kate and her team are delightful and welcoming. I think the number one aspect I liked was that the island has a small number of huts so wasn't at all busy. You could be the only ones on the beach! A great opportunity to relax and unwind.

Stunningly beautiful and peaceful island with great snorkeling a few metres off the beach and kayaks you can use for free any time. Staff were lovely and I enjoyed chatting with Kate, who runs the place. Cabins were very comfortable with an outdoor shower in an enclosed courtyard.

This island is perfect. Kate is fantastic and couldn’t have done enough for us. The room was beautiful the food in the restaurant was great, lots of baby shark and an incredible coral reef just off the beach. it was perfect. Also despite what other reviews have said, the Wi-Fi is amazing. fastest we have had in Asia.

Honestly nothing. people have said there is a lot of rubbish on the beach but the team there pick up every morning and if anything they should be blaming the other islands and boats for littering.

Such a great stay and treasure.  The host, Kate, was very helpful, friendly, fun, responsive, informative about the eco impact and such a pleasure to chat to. The staff are warm hearted, super hospitable, and very helpful & kind. Rooms are well maintained, very spacious and clean. Food was flavourful and tasteful; there's a great variety of options that will never keep you bored for both meat eaters & vegetarians/vegans. The reef off the resort is amazing and well preserved with a variety of sealife and colors. We also viewed sunsets from other parts of the island which were beautiful. We had tours arranged and were never bored. Thanks for such a great stay and all the help.

Angel Island Eco Resort provides a rare combination of very private, comfortable accommodations paired with an idyllic natural setting. World-class snorkeling awaits just off the beach and the resident birds will serenade you daily. More than once I wished I had brought my binoculars with me into the stunning outdoor bathroom/ garden just outside our air-conditioned room. Sunbirds came down to the flowers frequently. From our wraparound front sun porch, we saw orange -footed megapodes digging for food. Underwater delights included too many tropical fish to list, abundant corals, sponges , moray eels, turtles and juvenile black-tipped sharks. Between our terrestrial and marine exploring we had every need attended by the affable, competent staff. Meals were delicious and Flores coffee deserves it's own mention. For romantics and naturalists, this is paradise! Do be aware that weather is out of the resort's control, so for best options, plan your stay outside of rainy season and stay long enough that a rain day won't be your only day.
