Angel Island Eco Resort

Small privately owned resort, away from the crowds, large comfortable villas discreetly positioned amongst the trees. Kate runs a well oiled business supported by very friendly and helpful staff. The reason we choice Angel is because it is half an hour away from Luang Bajo and when you do a day trip to Komodo, you are half an hour ahead of all the other boats, leaving the main port. This made for an excellent experience which Kate organized. The company and guides she used were top knotch also friendly helpful and able to give us a great day. I had read the reviews about how expensive the food is, but I totally disagree, there was nothing prices at over 160,000 idr and the servings were very large and tasty. Our breakfast was included and one of the best we've had in 5 weeks in Indonesia. The snorkeling at the private beach was very good with a good variety of coral and good numbers of fish. Very little to no rubbish on the reef but a little bit floating in from off shore. The public beach was quiet before 10am and after 4pm also great snorkeling.

The worst part of our experience was leaving.

Special place, isolated and friendly boys running the place. Room large and very comfortable.

The price is little bit high for the service provided. Paying 1 eur for coffe in room should be free with this kind of room rate for example. The food was ok for sure not the best we had in Indonesia.

Our villa was nothing short of 5-star luxury—even more stunning than the photos online. It was beautifully designed, fully equipped, and radiated comfort and elegance. The island itself is a dream: crystal-clear blue waters, a vibrant coral reef perfect for snorkeling, and sunsets that take your breath away. We were lucky enough to see dolphins dancing in the waves, adding even more magic to our stay. The food was another highlight—plentiful, delicious, and diverse, with generous portions and impeccable service. We truly felt like VIPs from morning to night. A special mention to Bertie the buffalo, who stole our hearts, and to Katie, the incredible owner whose passion and dedication made our stay seamless and unforgettable. She even arranged our pickup from Labuan Bajo, making everything effortless. This is, without a doubt, the best place we've ever stayed in Indonesia—a sanctuary of peace, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. We almost don’t want to share it… it’s that special. It was just perfect!

This is a place to disconnect and be away from crowds. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunset and star gazing.

All was OK.

Great location, a hidden gem just 30min away from flores island. the hotel and rooms are exceptional, a little white lotus;) staff is super friendly and the food is great. the highlight are the little reef tip sharks in the shallow water and the amazing coral reef just in front! we are really glad to get to experience this island!

It feels like a sanctuary. The nature and wildlife on the island are so peaceful. And the whole island ist just for you. Don't worry about your phone or camera lying around on the beach while you go off and have a fresh juice or swim with some baby sharks - it's just you, the lovely staff and the island. Sunsets and sunrises have never felt more magical.
