Angel Island Eco Resort

We stayed for 5 nights and found it a wonderful oasis. The location was great- only 45 min boat ride/taxi to the airport and enabling a day trip to the Komodo Island highlights. Our private hut was large, clean and the bed very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was generally good both in the room and on the beach. We loved the outdoor private bathroom! The restaurant provided a good selection of both Indonesian and western food. The staff were readily available and helpful with any questions. The private beach was perfect for days of relaxing, snorkeling on the house reef and kayaking. Every sunset was spectacular and timed well with the cocktail happy hour. In short it was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful piece of paradise to escape from busy Labuan Bajo. Everything was fantastic - from the house reef, to the beaches and the accommodation and staff. Food was great, a varied menu with dishes from across Indonesia.

The house reef was absolutely beautiful. So well cared for and full of life! We saw turtles and reef sharks and blue spotted rays, to mention a few! They’ve done such a great job conserving the water and environment. We pretty much spent the entire time just snorkelling around. It was a dream! We also borrowed the kayaks and went around the island. The room was comfortable and clean, refillable water was great! Thank you for putting conditioner in the rooms!! It’s so often missed off from toiletries! Particularly love the little book library! The sunsets from the other side of the island were so beautiful. It’s an absolute must stay for any nature lovers. We would love to come back one day and will recommend to friends!

The only things we could think of was putting a cafetière in the rooms for the coffee grinds. It would also be great to add an option to go full or half board. Just so you don’t have to think about money at all whilst you’re in paradise. The boat transfer process to the island we felt could be a little smoother. Scanning QR codes got a bit confusing and although we got there no problems, at times weren’t quite sure what was going on.

Loved the beach, facilities and overall peacefulness of the place, pleasant happy staff and lovely food. Rooms where well appointed, comfortable and clean. Overall, It was a little slice of heaven, if our plans permitted we would defiantly have stayed an extra couple of days.

If you want to live on a stunning little island with a great reef for snorkeling, lots of privacy due to only a handful of other guests and all the comfort you can wish for, this is the place to be. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food is a bit pricy but still excellent value for money given the high quality and the fact that everything needs to be transportet to the island, the snorkling equipment was top notch, the room big and the bed comfortable. We also liked the fact that the bungalows are not directly on the beach but well hidden under the trees which adds to the remote island feeling.

There were a few mosquitoes, but the staff did a lot to prevent them from harrasing the guests.

Our stay at this resort was an absolute dream, so much so that we extended our stay. Nestled on a perfect island with crystal-clear waters and coral reefs teeming with fish, the main beach offered an underwater paradise. We were thrilled to encounter a turtle while snorkeling, adding a magical touch to our trip. The food was exceptional, offering a delightful array of local and international dishes. The little touches, like freshly baked cake each afternoon, evening turndown service, and chocolates on the pillows, made our stay even more special. Watching the sunrise and sunset from different sides of the island brought a profound sense tof tranquility. One evening, we witnessed a convocation of eagles on the beach, an unforgettable sight. The staff went above and beyond, providing impeccable service with a genuine smile. The owner’s hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome; her impressive knowledge of the area led to an unforgettable boat trip to Komodo, Pink Beach, Manta Point, and Taka Makassar. Every detail of our stay was crafted for the ultimate experience. We can't wait to return!

Angel island was one of our best experiences in Indonesia. Location is awesome, it’s very quiet and peaceful, it’s a worth when you want to get away from all scooters and city noises. They offer snorkeling gear and kayak within no cost which turns out an excellent opportunity to dive down and explore corals, marine life. The private beach is clean, (i mean.. there’s still plastic around - we understand that it is a big issue that Indonesia faces in.. however, at this island we felt a bit more environmentally preserved). We’ve also seen staff picking up trash from the shore that results in new baby corals growing up close to the shore!!! Room is large and super comfortable. Staff was very friendly, kind and smiley! They come to the room during afternoon to spray mosquito repellent and always left a treat in our bed!! We felt that we were in paradise!

I believe that a few things could be improved, like food and beverage. There were only three options of cocktail, not much wine options by glass, and few beers. Maybe invest a bit more in food quality to match with whole experience. We had all meals because there was no other option, so if restaurant is excellent as well, I would never leave! Other option would be to have a spa, so that we could relax even more after snorkeling. The public beach is where the sunset happens. I think we would appreciate more if there was some sun bed or cushions… I don’t know, something to make us feel more comfortable and welcomed to see the sun going down. There are also a lot trash around, maybe a few rounds to pick it up would be super. In general we had an amazing experience, don’t get me wrong, but for the price we paid we were expecting a bit more in terms of food and beverage.
